Chu Feng looked around at the vast expanse of whiteness and scratched his head.
“Isn’t this the space inside the Five-Colored Stone? How did I end up back here?”
He suddenly thought to check on his own condition.
“What’s going on with my body right now?”
He had taken a direct palm strike from the old man possessing Lin Ruo. He had let his guard down and failed to dodge.
Suddenly, a five-colored light lit up. A blurry figure appeared before Chu Feng’s eyes. It looked like a moving mosaic, completely indiscernible whether it was male or female. From its outline, all he could tell was that it was humanoid.
“Human?”
A faint, raspy voice rang out, impossible to tell whether it belonged to a man or woman.
Chu Feng raised an eyebrow.
“Could this be… the lingering will of some powerful cultivator? Are they about to pass on some incredibly powerful inheritance to me?”
The thought made Chu Feng excited.
“This junior, Chu Feng, greets Senior!”
He immediately bowed at a 90-degree angle.
However, silence was all that awaited him in return.
Gaa—gaa—gaa—
It was as if a crow flapped by overhead.
“Senior?”
Chu Feng looked up, only to find that the mosaic figure hadn’t moved at all.
“You’re not moving, but at least say something!”
Then suddenly—
“Husband!”
At that moment, a voice echoed through the white space and Chu Feng immediately recognized it.
Liu Xueyao!
Right after, the world around him began to spin. A heavy, soul-deep pressure pressed down on him.
“Ugh…”
Chu Feng slowly opened his heavy eyelids and stared at the unfamiliar ceiling above him.
Where… am I?
“Husband!”
A joyful voice rang out, and before Chu Feng could even react, everything went black before his eyes. His face was suddenly buried in something warm, soft, fragrant…
“Mm-mm-mm…”
Before he could process what was happening, he was smothered by an overwhelmingly large… something, making it hard to breathe. Instinctively, his hands moved to push it away.
Squelch.
“Mm~”
A soft moan rang out.
Then, an angry voice exploded.
“You brat!!”
The next second, Chu Feng felt a sharp pain in his ear, and his head was yanked away from the heavenly softness.
“Oww! That hurts, that hurts!”
He grimaced in pain. In front of him was a furious, beautiful face. It was Liu Shijing.
“You little punk! Where do you think your hands were just grabbing?!”
Her eyes were dark with rage, and her voice was icy cold.
“Senior! I swear….it was a misunderstanding! Can you believe me?”
No helping it. Liu Xueyao’s “heart” was simply too big.
Forget seeing light….Chu Feng could barely even breathe.
In a moment of panic, he had tried to push her away. But in doing so, he had unwittingly achieved the perfect setup for a steamy misunderstanding.
“Auntie…”
At that moment, Liu Xueyao tugged at Liu Shijing’s sleeve and gently shook her head.
As for having her husband give her a little squeeze, she didn’t mind at all.
After all, in their past life, they had already done everything that should and shouldn’t be done.
Though they hadn’t formally been husband and wife in name, they had long since become husband and wife in truth.
“Hmph!”
In the end, Liu Shijing angrily let go of his ear.
Chu Feng quickly cupped his now red, throbbing ear.
Ow ow ow….that really hurt.
Liu Shijing did not hold back.
And it made sense. She had already been unhappy with how close Liu Xueyao was to him.
Not to mention, he had once released that mysterious dark-yellow gas, which led to a “friendly interaction” between them… If she hadn’t cut him down back then, it was partly thanks to Liu Xueyao’s presence and partly because he’d technically been the passive party.
He had tried to resist… even if it didn’t work.
“Husband, does it hurt?”
Liu Xueyao leaned in close, blowing softly on his ear. Her body pressed intimately against his.
“Sister Saintess, no…it doesn’t hurt, not at all!”
Feeling Liu Shijing’s murderous gaze locked onto him, Chu Feng broke out in a cold sweat as he blurted it out.
Gulp gulp—
At that moment, Chu Feng noticed a large pot of medicinal soup simmering nearby. Dark green bubbles kept bursting on the surface….it looked unbearably bitter.
“Big Sister Saintess, what is this?”
“Medicinal soup.”
“Medicinal soup? Is it for me?”
“Yes, it’s for you, husband.”
Liu Xueyao got up to check on the soup. Seeing that it was just about ready, she began ladling it into a bowl.
Chu Feng quickly examined his chest and saw that the once dark-purple handprint had now shrunk to the size of a marble.
Seeing how much smaller the mark had become, Liu Shijing remarked,
“You little brat, you’ve got some real luck. The Holy Master actually treated you personally. Do you have any idea how rare that is? Most people couldn’t even dream of such a thing. You lucky little brat.”
Getting the Holy Master of the Yaochi Holy Land to treat someone required an incredibly high price. Normally, it was nearly impossible.
“So that’s how it is.” Chu Feng buttoned up his clothes and said to Liu Xueyao and Liu Shijing, “Thank you, Big Sister Saintess, and Senior, for saving my life.”
“Hmph! It wasn’t us. If you’re going to thank someone, go thank the Holy Master.”
Liu Shijing crossed her arms as she spoke.
“I’ll thank everyone. If it weren’t for you two bringing me to the Holy Master, I might not have survived.”
What Chu Feng said wasn’t wrong. Though the Five-Colored Stone had protected his heart, in the treasure space where true qi was suppressed, the end result might still have been him turning into a vegetable.
At that moment, Liu Xueyao held the bowl of medicine, scooped up a spoonful, blew it gently to cool it down, then brought it to Chu Feng’s lips and said, “Husband, time for your medicine.”
Lying in bed, Chu Feng’s mouth twitched. This awful line, this awkward situation… and with two women standing right there.
He took the medicine in one gulp…yep, just like he thought. It was incredibly bitter!
Before long, the bowl of medicine was empty. Chu Feng thought he had finally made it through. But to his dismay, Liu Xueyao got up and brought over another full bowl!
“Big Sister Saintess, wasn’t it just one bowl?!”
“No, one pot.”
“!!!”
By the time Chu Feng finished drinking, he was nearly bitter out of his mind.

In a room somewhere within the great hall, behind layers of light gauze curtains, a mature beauty dressed in white, with white hair, held a communication talisman in her hand and spoke gently:
“Xiyue, it’s been a long time.”
“It’s you! Why do you have Feng’er’s communication talisman?!”
An astonished voice came from within the talisman. It was Lu Xiyue. After all, Feng’er had gone to the Sky-Mending Secret Realm which was in the Northern Region while the Yaochi Holy Land was in the Western Region. The two places were worlds apart.
“The little one was injured. He’s just recovering here, that’s all.”
Upon hearing this, Lu Xiyue’s anxious voice came through immediately.
“What?! Feng’er was injured? How badly?”
“My little husband got hurt? What happened?!”
Another voice followed through the talisman. The white-haired woman didn’t recognize the owner of this new voice.
“He was struck by the Nine Yin Nether Hand of Ghost Nether Venerable. It’s a bit tricky to deal with, but don’t worry. Since this little one is your personal disciple, Xiyue, I’ll do my best to heal him.”
There was a brief silence from the communication talisman before Lu Xiyue slowly spoke:
“If that’s the case, then thank you. I owe you one. As for Feng’er’s medical expenses while he’s with you…I’ll cover them.”
But the woman in white replied indifferently, “No need. Between sisters like us, there’s no need to be so formal. Still… I am a bit curious. What exactly about this little fellow caught your eye, Xiyue?”
“Hey, hey! Let me warn you. While our bond may be like sisters, don’t you dare lay a hand on Feng’er. He’s still just a child!”
“A boy barely in his teens…I’m not interested. I’m just curious, that’s all.”
“Hmph! I’ll say this now. If you really do try something with Feng’er, our centuries of sisterhood will be over. Clean cut!”
“Relax, I know my boundaries.”
They chatted a bit longer before ending the communication.
The white-haired woman put away the talisman. To make her closest friend care so much even to the point of threatening to sever a bond of hundreds of years, this boy named Chu Feng… was definitely interesting.
