Chu Feng was brought by [Liu Xueyao] to the front of a cliff. The cliff was extremely steep, as if it had been split cleanly in two by a single sword strike.
He watched as [Liu Xueyao] approached the cliff and gently placed her hand on it. Instantly, a massive formation appeared, and the entire cliff face began to glow.
“What… is this?”
Chu Feng was stunned by the scene before him. Could it be… that some kind of peerless divine weapon was hidden inside?
“Heh, as expected. The node of the Spirit Vein Tree is here. And to think that it wasn’t Junior Sister Liu who came in person… How fortunate.”
At that moment, a middle-aged man stepped out. It was Zhou Ji.
In truth, the messenger pigeon had been deliberately released by him. If his guess was right, the previous pigeon must have been intercepted by someone. So he wrote a fake message on purpose to lure Liu Shijing into checking on the Spirit Vein Tree’s node.
That way, he could finally confirm the location of the Spirit Vein Tree he’d been obsessing over.
What he hadn’t expected, though, was that it wouldn’t be Liu Shijing who came….but Liu Xueyao instead. It was truly heaven’s favor. After all, she only had sixth-rank cultivation.
“Zhou Ji! You followed me!”
[Liu Xueyao] clenched her delicate hand tightly.
“Heh, Your Highness Saintess, I really don’t want to get rough with you. If you leave now, I can pretend none of this ever happened.”
Zhou Ji spoke with confidence.
Right now, Liu Shijing was caught in a dilemma. She had to protect the Spirit Vein Tree, but with her current strength, she was no match for Zhou Ji. If she chose to retreat, Zhou Ji already knew the location. He would definitely force it open.
On the way here, she had already sent word to Xueyao. But whether Xueyao could make it in time… she didn’t know.
Chu Feng’s heart sank the moment he saw Zhou Ji. The difference in power between them and the enemy was just too great. If he remembered correctly, that senior had said this guy had already broken through to the Seventh Rank!
However, what happened next made his eyes widen in shock.
A red-clad young girl appeared.
Wait, if he wasn’t mistaken, this girl was the Holy Master’s adopted daughter!
Even [Liu Xueyao], upon seeing the girl, couldn’t help but widen her beautiful eyes in surprise.
Zi Yuejun had been tied up with ropes, her mouth gagged so she couldn’t speak. When she saw Liu Xueyao, her eyes lit up and she began urgently making muffled sounds.
Chu Feng looked at Zhou Ji and couldn’t help but think. Seriously, who dares kidnap the Holy Master’s daughter? This guy must either be insane… or a complete idiot.
Zhou Ji let out a soft chuckle and said, “I trust the Saintess knows what’s best? If you leave now, no one gets hurt. But if, say, Miss Zi were to be injured by accident… well, that wouldn’t exactly be my fault, would it?”
[Liu Xueyao] quietly edged closer to Chu Feng and transmitted a message to him:
“You little brat,” [Liu Xueyao] transmitted telepathically. “In a moment, I’ll hold off Zhou Ji. You take the chance to rescue Yuejun.”
“What? Senior, what did you just sa—ugh!”
Before Chu Feng could react, [Liu Xueyao] smacked him and sent him flying.
Zhou Ji immediately moved to intercept, but [Liu Xueyao] swiftly launched her own attack.
Boom—!
The two clashed in an explosive confrontation.
As for Chu Feng, he was sent flying straight toward the red-clad girl and crashed right into her.
Thud—!
Once again, Chu Feng landed on top of the red-clad girl, his arms on either side of her, striking a classic wall slam pose.
He stared down at the girl beneath him. Her eyes were red, her cheeks were flushed, and her modest chest was heaving rapidly.
It was clear. This wasn’t from embarrassment. It was from rage.
Recalling her fiery personality, Chu Feng quickly got off her. He’d already been hated by the Holy Master’s daughter once before. That time, he was lucky the Holy Master hadn’t held it against him. But if she held a grudge again, he might not be so fortunate.
He removed the gag from her mouth.
Zi Yuejun gritted her silver teeth and snapped, “You pervert! What the hell are you doing here?!”
Chu Feng shrugged and replied, “I was about to ask you the same thing. Aren’t you the Holy Master’s adopted daughter? How’d you end up getting captured?”
Hearing his question, Zi Yuejun opened her mouth as if to speak, but no words came out. Her expression turned awkward, like her throat was stuck.
Chu Feng immediately understood.
Ah… must’ve been something really dumb. She’s too embarrassed to talk about it.
“Anyway, forget all that for now,” Zi Yuejun said, cheeks still blushing. “You pervert. Hurry up and untie me!”
Chu Feng sighed, “Alright, alright… Where should I start untying you from?”
Chu Feng gave the bindings a quick glance. The way they were tied was surprisingly intricate. But after checking all around, he couldn’t find where to untie them.
He even took out Little Bai to try cutting the ropes but it didn’t work at all.
“B-Butt… b-butt…”
Zi Yuejun spoke in a voice as faint as a mosquito’s buzz. Chu Feng couldn’t hear a thing.
“Miss, could you speak up a bit? Time’s kind of ticking here,” Chu Feng urged, glancing over at the ongoing battle. His senior seemed to be barely holding on.
Gritting her teeth, Zi Yuejun squeezed her eyes shut and blurted out, “It’s… tied at the butt.”
“Huh?!”
Chu Feng was stunned.
Who in the world ties a knot there?!
Zi Yuejun, overwhelmed with shame, wished she could sink into the ground. In truth, she had tied herself up. Zhou Ji had ordered her to bind herself, and she’d originally planned to tie it in front, so she could secretly undo it when Zhou Ji wasn’t paying attention.
It was a great plan until she finished tying and realized she’d gotten the orientation wrong. What was supposed to be in front ended up in back… and worse, the knot ended up right at her butt.
Chu Feng took a look and sure enough, there it was. The position… was definitely awkward.
Though her figure wasn’t exaggerated, her hips were still softly rounded.
If he were to untie it… there was no way he wouldn’t touch her.
“Miss, just saying this now….if I touch something by accident, please don’t blame me, alright?”
“Th-This lady understands! Just hurry up already!”
After saying that, Zi Yuejun even arched her hips slightly, as if trying to make it easier for Chu Feng to untie the knot.
Staring at the soft curve before him, Chu Feng did his best to suppress the distracting thoughts in his mind and quickly worked at the rope.
Zi Yuejun bit down on her lower lip, feeling faint tingles spreading from where his hands brushed her, her cheeks flushing red.
In all her life, this was the first time she’d ever been in such close contact with a man.
Seeing the young man about to untie the rope binding the red-clad girl, Zhou Ji panicked. This was his bargaining chip with the Yaochi Holy Land!
“Forgive me, Your Highness!”
Zhou Ji no longer held back. With a powerful palm strike, he forced Liu Xueyao back, then curled his hand into a claw and lunged at Chu Feng.
Boom!
A surge of powerful true qi condensed into a deadly claw. It was like the hand of death itself.
Just as Chu Feng was about to finish untying the rope, a crushing force suddenly bore down on him like Mount Tai, rendering him completely immobile.
Damn it! Move…. move!!
Chu Feng desperately circulated his internal true qi, trying to resist the overwhelming pressure locking down his body.
A fierce glint flashed in Zhou Ji’s eyes. Just as he was about to seize the boy, a multicolored light suddenly erupted from Chu Feng’s body.
The next moment, the light converged behind him, forming a figure. Judging by the curves of the figure, it was a woman.
As the graceful figure emerged, a mysterious and ancient aura swept out in all directions. It was as if the entire world had lost some of its brilliance beneath her presence.
Even Zhou Ji, a seventh-rank cultivator, felt as insignificant as an ant before her.
The figure slowly raised her hand, and a beam of multicolored light shot out, piercing straight through Zhou Ji’s chest.
“Urgh!”
Zhou Ji spat out a mouthful of blood. His aura plummeted as his body crashed to the ground.
Staring at the blurry figure behind the boy, his eyes were filled with terror.
Once it was clear Zhou Ji was no longer a threat, the figure dispersed into multicolored light and returned to Chu Feng’s body.
As for Chu Feng, a sudden wave of exhaustion surged through him. His vision went black and he collapsed.
