Chapter 205: By Mutual Consent

After Chu Feng finished washing up, the heat within his body had completely subsided by the time he came back out.

When he reached the bedside, he found that Liu Shijing had already closed her beautiful eyes, her breathing calm and steady.

Asleep already?

He glanced outside the window. The moon hung bright in the sparse night sky. Somehow, it was already nighttime. He clearly remembered that it had still been dusk when they arrived.

Since Aunt Jing was asleep, he figured he should avoid disturbing her. Perfect timing to spend the night meditating instead.

Fortunately, the chair was wide enough. Sitting down upon it, Chu Feng calmed his breathing and focused his mind, circulating his true qi. The frigid yin energy inside his body was now down to the final trace, yet despite all his effort, he still could not fully refine that last bit away.

Liu Shijing waited for quite a while, yet never sensed anyone lying down beside her. Quietly, she cracked open her beautiful eyes, only to discover that the brat was actually sitting there meditating.

Instantly, confusion filled her gaze. She never expected this brat to be so proper and restrained.

What Liu Shijing did not know, however, was that Chu Feng was only pretending.

Because Saintess Sister was staying right next door.

Once Aunt Jing got into the mood, her reactions became just a tiny bit loud.

At first, she would be like a shy young maiden, but gradually she would turn the tables completely, transforming into a female general galloping across the battlefield. Meanwhile, his role was naturally that of a little horse, serving as the female general’s mount.

Special note: don’t misunderstand. This was purely roleplay. Who hadn’t played house as a child? Continuing to play house after growing up only meant one still possessed a youthful heart!

If Saintess Sister happened to overhear them, just imagining it was enough to make him curl his toes hard enough to carve out an entire three-bedroom apartment.

After completing one full circulation cycle, Chu Feng opened his eyes and discovered that Aunt Jing was staring at him.

“Aunt Jing, is something the matter?”

Liu Shijing pressed her red lips together, then tilted her head toward the pillow beside her and said lightly, “Nothing. I just thought that sitting there meditating all night might be uncomfortable for you, brat.”

“It’s not really uncomfortable. Once I enter cultivation, time passes very quickly.”

Back before he started cultivating, sitting in a chair like this for too long would inevitably leave his legs numb. But now that he had cultivation, spending one night like this was nothing. He could stay that way for several days without issue.

Hearing his response, Liu Shijing could not tell whether the brat genuinely failed to understand her meaning or whether she had not expressed herself clearly enough. Either way, he showed no reaction at all.

Hmph! Fine then. To think I was worried he might be uncomfortable. No, wait… This one would never worry about him!

Sulking, Liu Shijing closed her beautiful eyes.

Of course, Chu Feng had understood her hint perfectly. Seeing that Aunt Jing seemed rather annoyed, he let out a sigh. As long as he held firmly to his principles, nothing unexpected should happen.

Thinking so, he walked over to the bed and lifted the thin blanket.

The beauty beneath wore only a gauzy layer of clothing. Even lying down, the pale blue-green dudou stretched high over her ample curves, outlining a flawless silhouette. Lower down, the lines of her slender waist and full hips were equally captivating.

Chu Feng did not dare look any longer.

Because one more glance and he might just explode.

Liu Shijing felt a cool draft enter as the blanket was lifted, and her expression changed slightly. She had intended to haughtily scold him, but when she sensed the warm presence of the young man beside her, the words caught in her throat.

In their place came the fluttering panic of her heart.

The room fell silent.

Moonlight streamed through the window, casting a cool and tranquil glow throughout the chamber.

Yet beneath the blanket, everything was warm.

Before long, Chu Feng drifted off to sleep.

Liu Shijing stole a glance at the brat’s sleeping face. His slightly youthful features carried a hint of heroic spirit, and before she realized it, she found herself completely captivated.

Reaching out a finger, Liu Shijing lightly tapped the tip of the boy’s nose. She had never imagined that the dao companion who would accompany her through the rest of her life was, at present, still just a little brat whose feathers had yet to fully grow in.

And Xueyao was utterly devoted to him as well. Not only that, but the Brightmoon Sword Immortal and the woman in red whom she had seen that day were probably entangled with this brat too. Those looks they gave him were so full of affection that the tenderness practically seemed tangible.

“What a shamelessly flirtatious brat.”

Liu Shijing murmured softly, the corners of her red lips curving upward. Just as she was about to close her eyes, Chu Feng rolled over and ended up facing her directly.

At that moment, one of Chu Feng’s bad habits was exposed.

Some people liked sleeping with a blanket between their legs because it felt more comfortable.

Chu Feng was similar. However, after arriving in the cultivation world and being subtly influenced over time by Lu Xiyue, Ji Yuhuang, Bai Yuyan, Su Tiantian, Liu Xueyao, and the others…

His habit had evolved into placing his little paw on something soft and round while sleeping.

“Mmm~!!!”

Liu Shijing’s beautiful eyes widened as a jolt shot through her entire body.

Looking at the brat’s sleeping face, she could tell that this was probably just an unconscious action he made in his sleep. She remembered that on occasions when she woke up early, she had seen him doing the same thing to Xueyao.

But as the saying goes, a gentleman uses words, not force.

Tonight, Chu Feng’s behavior had certainly matched that of a proper gentleman. Under normal circumstances, however, he had never considered himself one.

So, in a sense, Chu Feng was a combination of both.

Liu Shijing finally could not take it anymore. Breathing slightly heavily, she seemed to be angry.

After all, her face was flushed red. If that was not from anger, then what was it?

“Ow! Ow! That hurts!!”

Chu Feng had been sleeping soundly when a sharp pain suddenly shot through his ear, jolting him awake.

The moment he opened his eyes, his vision was first obscured by an overwhelmingly imposing softness.

Looking up, he was met with the embarrassed and angry expression of the beauty before him.

“Go back to sleep properly!” Liu Shijing said with a trace of irritation on her face.

“Aunt Jing, th-this was an accident!”

Realizing his inappropriate behavior, Chu Feng hurriedly withdrew and obediently lay back down.

A sense of regret rose in his heart.

Why couldn’t he control himself!?

Seeing the remorse on Chu Feng’s face, Liu Shijing suddenly felt somewhat soft-hearted.

No matter what, this was her little husband.

Between husband and wife, hugging and cuddling was perfectly normal…

Perhaps she had been making a fuss over nothing.

With that thought, she lowered her voice and softly said, “Brat…”

“This one isn’t saying you can’t.”

“Mmm… You just couldn’t a moment ago.”

“But now… you can.”

“!!??”

Aunt Jing, what exactly are you saying?

For a moment, Chu Feng genuinely wondered whether he had misheard her.

Seeing the brat’s stunned expression, Liu Shijing bit her lip and, gritting her teeth, took his hand and reenacted what had just happened.

Thump! Thump! Thump!

Chu Feng could clearly feel the panic and embarrassment in the beauty’s heart.

Summoning her courage, Liu Shijing said, “I-If it’s what you want, brat… this one wouldn’t refuse.”

After speaking, she did not dare meet the boy’s eyes.

At this point, Chu Feng felt that, as a man, he ought to make some kind of response.

Looking at her proud yet stunningly beautiful face, he gently tightened his grip.

“Mmh~”

Liu Shijing clenched her teeth, intending to act as though it did not bother her, but after only a few seconds, her composure collapsed and a deep blush spread across her cheeks.

Moonlight.

A beauty.

The two of them alone together.

With all those factors combined, Chu Feng had to admit that it was difficult not to be moved.

Slowly, he pressed his lips against her moist, rosy ones. His wandering hand traced downward along her full curves, gliding past her slender waist and reaching farther…

“Mmm…”

Liu Shijing’s toes curled slightly, her beautiful eyes half-lidded and filled with a hazy, intoxicated look. Her jade-like hands rested on the young man’s shoulders as she gave a few token pushes. When she realized it was futile, she finally resigned herself and wrapped her arms around his neck instead.

“Aunt Jing, we’re in an inn. Don’t make any noise…”

“But… but I…”

“Mmm… How about biting down on something? That way, you won’t make a sound.”

In the room next door.

Liu Xueyao blinked her beautiful eyes as she listened to the faint, ambiguous sounds drifting through the wall, intermittent soft hums colored with a charming sweetness.

Even so, her lovely face remained perfectly calm.

She was very satisfied with her aunt’s progress. At this rate, her plan for a happy big family would likely be completed very soon.

There would be none of the regrets that had filled her previous life. In this life, whether it was herself, her aunt, or her husband, all of them would have a happy and fulfilling ending.
