Chapter 236: Liu Shijing’s Bitterness

Published on

Today, after Liu Shijing finished processing the official documents in her hands, she prepared to deliver them to the vice dean.

Inside the room, a beautiful woman sat with one leg crossed over the other. Her full, shapely thighs pressed together, creating an enticing curve. One jade-like foot swayed gently in the air, a shoe dangling from her crystal-clear toes, giving her an alluring charm all its own.

She lounged lazily on a recliner, her slender fingers pinching a purple grape still glistening with droplets of moisture before placing it into her mouth. A moment later, she deftly spat out the grape skin.

Meanwhile, resting steadily atop her chest was a plate piled with grapes.

“Ah…”

The beauty let out a faint sigh. Thinking back to the magnificent proportions of the woman in green, she glanced down at her own chest and grumbled,

“It’s one thing that Xin’er is already that big, but how is there someone even bigger? It’s making me feel awful just looking at them…”

Staring at her own little pair, she couldn’t help feeling disappointed that they refused to live up to her expectations.

It couldn’t be helped. Before she had transmigrated into the cultivation world, her B-cup would have stood out even back in her hometown, where A-cups were everywhere. Who would have thought that in the cultivation world, B-cups were considered small? C-cups were the norm, and D-cup powerhouses popped up every so often.

Faced with these D-cup powerhouses, she had no choice but to forcibly “increase her cultivation”, using a specially refined material as padding.

This was her greatest secret. She hadn’t even told her closest friend, Zi Xin’er.

The beauty picked up a cup of papaya milk from beside her and took a sip.

“I drink this every day. I’ve been drinking it for hundreds of years… so why hasn’t anything changed…?”

The vice dean of the Hundred Clans Academy wore a gloomy expression over this very issue. In private, she had sought out several female alchemists, hoping there might be pills capable of improving one’s figure.

There were such pills….but without exception, they worked best when taken at the first cultivation realm. By the second realm, their effectiveness dropped dramatically, and after the third realm, they had no effect whatsoever.

That discovery left her utterly devastated. In the end, all she could do was mix papaya milk with spiritual herbs and drink it every day, hoping she might somehow experience a second growth spurt.

Suddenly, she sensed someone approaching. She immediately put away the fruit platter and papaya milk, slipped on her shoes, straightened her clothes, and, most importantly, tucked the padding back into place.

Creaaak—

The door opened, and Liu Shijing walked into the room. The beauty before her was bent over the desk, diligently reviewing official documents.

Seeing Liu Shijing, the beauty set down the document in her hand, adjusted herself into a proper, ladylike sitting posture, and smiled gently.

“Elder Liu, have you finished reviewing everything?”

“Yes. I’d appreciate it if Vice Dean could check whether I overlooked anything.”

With a flick of her finger, Liu Shijing sent the stack of documents onto the desk.

“Very well.”

The beauty waved her hand casually, and all the documents opened at once. She skimmed through them at astonishing speed. On the surface, she remained as calm and composed as ever, but inwardly she was panicking.

Good grief! Elder Liu finished an entire month’s worth of my paperwork in just a few days!

“Haha… Good, very good. Thank you for your hard work, Elder Liu. These were supposed to be my responsibilities, yet I had to trouble you to help me with them.”

Liu Shijing merely shook her head.

“You’re too polite, Vice Dean. That brat only got in thanks to your approving seal. Helping with something this small is the least I can do.”

To the outside world, the vice dean of the Hundred Clans Academy was renowned for her unwavering integrity. She was said to be utterly impartial, never bending the rules for personal favors, and overflowing with righteous spirit. A role model admired by countless female cultivators.

The truth, however, was that she simply couldn’t be bothered.

She was too lazy to deal with such matters, and the things people usually offered like treasures and medicinal pills held no interest for her whatsoever.

Honestly, instead of giving her those things, they might as well gift her some handsome-men photo albums…

Come to think of it, she was already several hundred years old and had never even held a man’s hand. Although she owned an extensive collection of handsome-men photo books and possessed a wealth of theoretical knowledge, her practical experience was a perfect zero.

Well, that was only natural. In the world she had lived in before transmigrating, everyone was like that. When it came to talking about romance, everyone sounded like an expert.

“By the way, what does your little sweetheart look like, Elder Liu? I’m suddenly a bit curious.”

The beauty asked.

At the mention of the topic, Liu Shijing felt her cheeks warm, her eyes instinctively darting away.

“Hehe, what are you shy about? We’re both women.” The beauty’s eyes sparkled with curiosity. “Is he at least six feet tall? How many abs does he have? Is he handsome?”

The rapid-fire questions nearly left Liu Shijing at a loss.

“N-No, Vice Dean… that brat is still just a child. He’s only about…” She raised a hand to the height of her own chest. Every time she held the brat in her arms, his head would fit perfectly buried against her bosom. “…this tall. As for his appearance… he’s quite delicate and handsome.”

“Huh? So he’s a little puppy type.”

The beauty’s excitement evaporated in an instant, and she immediately lost interest.

Compared to an obedient little puppy she could cuddle and dote on, what she really liked were domineering CEOs with powerful, muscular physiques.

“I suppose so.”

A little puppy? That brat was obviously a shameless little pervert. He never behaved himself, always teasing her and making her do things too embarrassing to even mention.

Liu Shijing silently grumbled to herself.

“Well then, since Elder Liu has finished taking care of everything, I won’t keep you from spending some sweet time with your little sweetheart.”

With a wave of her hand, the beauty sent a numbered token flying toward Liu Shijing.

“This is where he’s staying. Just channel your true qi into it, and it’ll show you the location.”

Liu Shijing caught the token. The image of the young man surfaced in her mind. Ever since she had confessed her feelings to him, this was the first time they had been apart for so long.

Throughout the day, his mischievous smile had kept appearing in her thoughts.

Without realizing it, a sweet smile curved across her lips.

“Thank you, Vice Dean. I’ll have to trouble you for a while longer.”

After exchanging a few more pleasantries, Liu Shijing could no longer hide her eagerness and quickly departed.

Once the vice dean sensed that Liu Shijing had gone far enough, the refined, ladylike demeanor she had been maintaining instantly collapsed. She flopped onto the desk and groaned,

“How nice… I want to fall in love too. Why hasn’t my Prince Charming shown up yet?”

It was the heartfelt lament of an ultra-super-aged single woman who was already several hundred years old.

A short while later, Liu Shijing arrived at the place where Chu Feng was staying.

Because of Zi Xin’er and the Demon Empress, the vice dean had generously assigned Chu Feng an entire four-courtyard residence.

Activating the numbered token with her true qi, Liu Shijing opened a gap in the protective formation surrounding the estate and stepped inside.

With her divine sense, she detected two presences within the courtyard….one male and one female. The male needed no explanation; it had to be that brat.

As for the woman… she seemed to be his senior sister, the one he always affectionately addressed as “Senior Sister.”

Just as she drew closer, she heard something utterly shocking.

“I like Senior Sister Yuyan the most!”

The young man’s words rang in her ears like a thunderclap. Liu Shijing’s delicate body trembled slightly.

A bitter taste quietly spread through her heart.

She pressed her lips tightly together.

But then an even more explosive sentence reached her ears.

“Good. Then let’s get married right now.”

It was the woman’s voice. His senior sister’s.

Could it be… the relationship between the two of them had already reached the same stage as hers and Chu Feng’s?

Her rosy lips quivered faintly as Liu Shijing clutched at her chest.

After taking a moment to steady her breathing, she forced herself to continue forward.

Approaching the doorway, the scene inside gradually came into view with each step she took.

The tall, mature beauty had Chu Feng pinned beneath her, completely absorbed as she claimed his lips in a deep kiss, so immersed in the moment that she hadn’t noticed someone was already standing at the entrance.

Even though Liu Shijing had prepared herself mentally, witnessing it with her own eyes still made her heart shudder violently. Her breathing caught, and tears welled up in her beautiful eyes.

Chu Feng stared toward the doorway in stunned disbelief, his eyes filled with shock as they met Aunt Jing’s gaze. He wanted to explain himself, but with his lips sealed by the kiss, he couldn’t utter a single word.

In the end, the beautiful woman in green bit down hard on her lower lip, shot the young man a fierce glare, then spun around and vanished from the spot.
