Clang!
A sword cry rang out as sword qi swept through the area, scattering the mist. Five figures emerged from within.
“Why aren’t we there yet?”
Chu Feng was the first to step out of the mist. He had thought that once they emerged from it, they would have arrived at the Demon Suppression Tower. But now, looking at the tower not far ahead, he realized there was still some distance to go.
“Classmate Chu, you didn’t know? After leaving the mist, we still have to pass through an illusion zone before we can reach the Demon Suppression Tower.”
Qian Shao explained between ragged breaths.
Aside from Chu Feng and Su Tiantian, the other three all looked exhausted. There was nothing they could do about it. The demonic shadows were simply too numerous. Qian Shao had originally wanted Chu Feng to help shoulder some of the pressure, but judging from how things had turned out, they were the ones who had ended up taking pressure off Chu Feng instead.
“An illusion? What kind of illusion?”
Chu Feng was somewhat surprised. After all, he had never experienced an illusion before.
“There are several kinds of illusions. Some can kill without leaving a trace, while others merely trap you in place. The illusion here is the latter. It keeps you rooted to the spot by drawing out the desires hidden deepest within your heart.”
Yang Jie explained from beside him.
The desires hidden deepest within his heart……..
Hearing this, Chu Feng actually began looking forward to it. He wondered if the illusion could conjure up his 2D waifus.
……
After resting for a while, the group entered the illusion.
“Sister Tiantian, how do we break this illusion?”
Chu Feng asked curiously. He had never encountered an illusion before.
“It’s simple. Little rascal, all you need to do is remain true to yourself.”
Su Tiantian replied lazily.
She suddenly reached out and pinched Chu Feng’s cheek. Arching a delicate brow, she reminded him, “Little rascal, have you forgotten what you promised this Empress? What are you supposed to call me?”
“We’re almost at the Demon Suppression Tower anyway, so can’t we just… Ow! That hurts! Wife! Wife, I was wrong.”
Only then did Su Tiantian release him in satisfaction. By now, Chu Feng’s cheek had been pinched bright red.
The intimate interaction between Chu Feng and Su Tiantian left the others green with envy. Qian Shao and his two companions felt as though they had swallowed three pounds of lemons, the sourness nearly making their teeth fall out.
As they ventured deeper, a faint mist once again appeared around Chu Feng.
Only this time, the mist was tinged a faint red.
He sent out his divine sense, only for it to feel as though it had sunk into a quagmire, unable to extend outward.
“Tsk.”
Clicking his tongue, Chu Feng surrounded himself with sword qi. The razor-sharp sword qi tore through the air as he slashed out, but instead of dispersing the mist as he had expected, it only grew denser.
The mist became thicker and thicker until it almost seemed tangible, soft enough to reach out and touch like cotton candy.
At that moment, Chu Feng suddenly found himself alone. Everyone else had vanished without a trace.
The dense mist obscured his vision. Great. Now he couldn’t even tell which direction he was facing.
“This is a little troublesome.”
Chu Feng frowned. His spiritual perception was restricted, his sword qi couldn’t disperse the mist, and even his sense of direction was gone. This time, he truly had no idea what to do.
Could it be that he had to use that….
The five-colored sword qi within his body had already been nurtured back to full strength.
Smack!
Suddenly, a hand grabbed his wrist. He turned around and saw that it was Tiantian.
Su Tiantian pursed her lips in a smile. “Little rascal, how is it? Don’t you feel especially safe with this Empress by your side?”
She had seen everything the little rascal had done just now, especially the dejected, helpless look on his face when he ran out of ideas. He had looked like a helpless little puppy, and the sight made her heart melt.
“Sister Tiantian!”
“Hmm?”
“W-Wife.”
Hearing the correct form of address, Su Tiantian broke into a radiant smile. Soon. The little rascal was gradually being molded into exactly the shape she wanted.
“Feng’er!”
A familiar voice suddenly rang out. Chu Feng froze. How was this possible!?
He immediately turned his head and saw a cold, stunning beauty dressed in palace robes walking toward him. Sword patterns adorned the hem of her dress, her raven-black hair cascaded down like a waterfall, and she held a longsword in her hand.
“Master?!”
Chu Feng exclaimed in astonishment. Why would his master be here?
No, that wasn’t right!
This wasn’t his real master!
Looking closely, although his master appeared to be walking toward him, her figure remained rooted in place without moving at all.
Which meant……
“So this is the trial within the illusion?”
Chu Feng recalled what they had said earlier about the illusion drawing out the desires hidden within one’s heart. The fact that his master had appeared here meant that deep down, he actually felt that way about her……
“That’s right.” Su Tiantian nodded, though there was a hint of displeasure in her voice. “This Empress thought I would be the first one to appear from the depths of your heart. Who would’ve thought that you, little rascal, actually harbor such feelings for your master?”
Feeling Sister Tiantian’s scorching gaze, Chu Feng blushed and looked away.
He had wanted to be a good disciple who respected his master and honored the Dao, but the things that happened afterward had gradually led him further and further astray.
“Feng’er, come to your master. I’ll let you be my little baby~”
Lu Xiyue’s snowy arms lifted her ample bosom, seemingly implying something far deeper.
“Oh?” Su Tiantian looked at Chu Feng with a half-smile. “Little rascal, it seems your master treats you quite well. You’re already this grown up, yet she still treats you like a little baby~”
Chu Feng’s face instantly turned crimson. The embarrassment was so intense that his toes could practically dig out a three-bedroom apartment.
“Sister Tiantian, let me explain!”
Chu Feng hurriedly waved his hands. Just as he was about to explain, another voice rang out.
“Little husband!”
He jolted violently and sucked in a sharp breath before slowly turning around. Beside Lu Xiyue stood a mature beauty dressed in red.
“Sister Wan’er!”
Chu Feng’s eyes widened.
Ji Yuhuang stood there in all her graceful splendor. She walked over to Lu Xiyue, and the two interlocked their fingers, their enormous melons pressing together as their long, snowy-white legs intertwined.
I’m a physicist, and this is the double-slit experiment.
Smiles adorned the two women’s breathtaking faces, their beautiful eyes overflowing with deep affection as they gazed at the young man and called out, “Feng’er/Little husband, hurry over here~”
Chu Feng was instantly dumbfounded. If this was a dream, then please don’t let him wake up.
Thank you.
“Tempted?”
Su Tiantian asked coldly when she saw the little rascal staring as though his soul had been stolen away.
The sudden chill made Chu Feng shudder. Seeing that Sister Tiantian was clearly smiling yet there wasn’t the slightest trace of amusement in her eyes, he hurriedly said, “Sist… Wife, these are all fake! This definitely isn’t what I secretly fantasize about! You have to believe me!”
“Hmph!”
Su Tiantian snorted coldly and vengefully kneaded the little rascal’s cheeks until she was satisfied, only then releasing him.
“Ugh…”
Chu Feng covered his cheeks. He feared his face would stay red for the entire day.
In the end, with tremendous willpower, he forced himself not to look at the breathtaking scenery behind him and continued forward.
As he slowly advanced, the voices behind him grew fainter and fainter until they disappeared completely.
He breathed a slow sigh of relief. It seemed this illusion was conjuring up women who had feelings for him.
Fortunately, the next ones to appear should be Senior Sister Yuyan, the Saintess, and Aunt Jing. Sister Tiantian knew all of them, so she probably wouldn’t get angry again.
Chu Feng thought as he rubbed his slightly red and swollen cheeks.
Just as Chu Feng was pondering to himself, the mist ahead began swirling once more. It looked like it was preparing to conjure another illusion.
Bring it on!
He wasn’t afraid in the slightest and strode forward with his chest held high!
The mist churned before finally condensing into a snow-white, graceful figure. She possessed peerless beauty that was in no way inferior to his master or Sister Wan’er, with crystal-clear eyes, soft crimson lips, and a voluptuous figure.
She was truly breathtakingly beautiful. The mark on her forehead added an aura of holiness, and together with her snow-white hair, she looked like a divine mother descended into the mortal world.
The instant Chu Feng saw the stunning beauty appear, his inner qi fell into turmoil, and he nearly coughed up a mouthful of blood.
Why!?
Why was it Aunt Zi!?
