236. Anonymous Human

I have a question.

Is hunting at night dangerous?

237. Anonymous Human

>>236 It’s not just dangerous, it’s more than that.

238. Anonymous Elf

>>236 If you’re a beginner, it’s better to stop.

239. Anonymous Human

Wait, is it really that dangerous?

240. Anonymous Human

>>239 There are two main reasons for that.

First, the types of monsters that appear during the day and night are different. Generally, the ones at night are stronger, and they often travel in groups.

Next, the night in FSW is dark. Seriously dark. Even if you use a lantern, it only slightly brightens things up.

If you’re a beginner, you were probably hunting in the south, right? In that case, it’s better to take a break now and head to the eastern plains when it gets brighter.

241. Anonymous Human

>>240 Thank you for the detailed explanation!

But wait? I’ve heard that the western forest is dangerous, but why is the northern mountain off-limits?

The residents said there are only small goblins up there.

242. Anonymous Elf

>>241 I’m sorry, but we don’t talk about the north.

243. Anonymous Dwarf

>>241 Please stop. That’s a traumatic topic…

244. Anonymous Human
>>243 What do you mean by “that”?

245. Anonymous Beastman

>>244 Listen up, rookie. There’s a goblin up there that’s monstrously strong.

If you want to hear the detailed story, go here.

Nightmare Thread of the Northern Mountain: http://***************

Both 242 and 243 had a tough time.

246. Anonymous Human

Regarding that story, the top players were said to be going mountain hunting tonight.

With this, the nightmare should come to an end.

247. Anonymous Elf

>>246 Seriously!?

248. Anonymous Dwarf

>>246 Yes, finally!

249. Anonymous Human

>>246 Is this a death flag?

250. Anonymous Human

>>246 Congrats on the death flag!

[Sightseeing] Firth City Touring Thread 6 [Guided Tour]

1. Anonymous Human

This is a thread where we discuss the city of Firth, located in the central part of the Luxresia continent within the Kingdom of Lichtenburg.

Feel free to share information about unfamiliar shops and screenshots of beautiful scenery!

Please follow basic etiquette. Posts violating the rules will be deleted by the moderators.

Previous Thread: http://****************

43. Anonymous Human

The architectural style here seems to be a mix of Western influences.

Especially the temples, they look like Christian churches on the inside, but the exterior is reminiscent of the Parthenon. It’s quite amusing.

44. Anonymous Beastman

Who cares about the details, man!

What’s really impressive is how the city walls are slightly dirty, adding a touch of realism.

These WSS-type games truly stand out in terms of realism.

44. Anonymous Human

I think most of the shops on the main street have opened now, right?

44. Anonymous Elf

I believe so. But before that, let me summarize an overview of the city.

In the center of the city stand the “Twelve Great Temples,” where players first log in.

Next to it is the “Earle’s Great Temple,” and most residents of Firth City are followers of Earle.

The city is surrounded by a high circular wall, with main thoroughfares extending in the cardinal directions.

The southern thoroughfare is dominated by stalls and food stands. It offers plenty of items for beginners.

The eastern thoroughfare is filled with various eateries. The presence of the Adventurers’ Guild in the middle of the street might be the reason. A place to unwind after work, perhaps?

The northern and western thoroughfares are the artisan districts. However, each specializes in different crafts.

The north attracts blacksmiths, stone workers, and potters who utilize resources from the nearby mountains.

The west focuses on producing medicines, leather goods, and accessories using herbs from the forest and materials from the local monsters around Firth.

That’s the general layout.

48. Anonymous Human

>>47 Nice summary!

Let’s use this as a template and discuss other locations!

49. Anonymous Human

>>47 Great job!

Also, here’s a screenshot of the sunset in Firth city. [image]

50. Anonymous Beastman

>>49 Eh?! What is this?!

51. Anonymous Human

>>49 Did you take this photo from the top of the city walls?

52. Anonymous Human

>>51 Exactly.

I asked the guards if I could climb up, and they said it was fine as long as I didn’t disturb the watch.

53. Anonymous Elf

Wow, I never thought of that!

54. Anonymous Human

More importantly, I found a great restaurant!

Check it out. [image] [image]

55. Anonymous Dwarf

Oh? Fish dishes?

56. Anonymous Human

>>55 That’s right!

The fish dishes made from the fish caught in the eastern river flowing from the northern mountains are incredibly delicious!

Although it doesn’t satisfy real hunger!

57. Anonymous Human

Ah, I know that place.

But when I went, they were sold out, so I couldn’t try it.

58. Anonymous Human

>>57 Actually, I had a similar experience.

Even though it’s located in a black alley,t it seems to be popular among the residents.

However, they told me that if I bring my own fish, I can have a meal there, so I caught my own.

59. Anonymous Beastman

>>58 So, you went fishing for that purpose? (astonished)

Isn’t that area on the other side of the boss zone…?

60. Anonymous Elf

Everyone seems to be having fun, lol.

So, here’s some new information! When I ventured into the back alley earlier, I stumbled upon a suspicious street vendor. They were selling all sorts of peculiar items, lol.

Take a look. [image] [image]

61. Anonymous Human

>>60 aphrodisiacs? loll. Where would anyone even use those? Loll.

62. Anonymous Human

>>60 “Water Dragon King’s Scales”?

That’s way too expensive! What’s 3 million Zell worth, lol.

It’s definitely a fake, lol.

63. Anonymous Dwarf

>>60 As a dwarf, I’m intrigued by the “Mithril Ingot.”

64. Anonymous Beastman

>>60 Seriously? When I entered the back alley, I was suddenly accosted by an old man who appeared behind me out of nowhere.

65. Anonymous Human

>>64 Is that the tough-looking bald guy with a large scar running from his chin to his lips?

66. Anonymous Beastman

>>65 How do you know about him!?

67. Anonymous Human

>>66 I only heard about him from the residents, but apparently, he’s a high-ranking member of the Thieves’ Guild.

They advised me to avoid catching the attention of those guys if I walked the streets of Firth at night.

68. Anonymous Beastman

>>67 Oh…

69. Anonymous Elf

If you were simply accosted, it doesn’t necessarily mean you caught their attention.

Think of it more like you made an association, albeit a thin one.

But it’s interesting how, even in the starting city, there are some pretty deep places to explore.

[The Boss] Comprehensive Strategy Thread 8 [Defeated]

1. Akatsuki

This thread is dedicated to discussing strategies.

Please focus on sharing information related to strategy!

Previous thread: http://***************

>>980, Please start the thread discussions

10. Nutmeg

I’ll compile information about the field bosses adjacent to Firth City.

Southern Plains

Race:  Greywolf Lv10

Job: Pack Leader Lv0

The leader of the wolves and its entourage. The number of followers varies depending on the number of players. If solo, there are two, while a full party will face six.

Individual wolves aren’t that strong, but their true strength lies in their pack. Take down the leader immediately. It might actually be easier solo?

Eastern Plains

Race: Steppe Eagle Lv10

Job: None

A soaring eagle that freely flies in the sky. It has low health and cannot use magic, but its incredible speed makes it difficult to land attacks.

Furthermore, it excels in hit-and-run tactics, utilizing its speed to its advantage. Patience and accuracy in attacks are crucial against this boss.

Western Forest

Race: Black Bear Lv13

Job: None

A bear even larger than the Brown Bears. Its attack methods are similar to those of the brown bears in the West Forest. However, its power is further incread, and even with heavy armor, getting caught in a bear hug will almost certainly lead to demise. Be extremely cautious!

Northern Mountains

Race: Hobgoblin Lv10

Job: Apprentice Warrior Lv0

An advanced species of goblin that dwells in the northern mountains. It possesses excellent leadership skills and gives precise instructions to the lower-ranking goblin species. The number of followers varies depending on the number of players. If solo, there are two, while a full party will face six. It’s also wise to defeat the Goblin Ogre immediately.

11. Torchbearer

>>10 Nice work!

12. Foolish Link

>>10 Thanks!

13. Jack

>>10 The field boss in the Northern Mountains is a recurring nightmare.

14. Coater

Looking at it this way, it seems like there are speed-type monsters and groups, as well as power-type monsters and groups.

The Japanese phrasing feels a bit off, though.

15. Akatsuki

>>14 I understand what you’re trying to say, so no problem.

16. Gouki

Ah, urgent report.

When I went to gather materials from the boss in the south earlier, a quest called “Trial of the Akatsuki” appeared.

17. Akatsuki

>>16 What!?!

18. Foolish Link

>>16 What’s going on?

19. Jack

>>16 What’s that?

20. Gouki

Calm down. I’ll explain it properly.

Tonight, our regular party challenged the field boss in the south.

We thought it would be a piece of cake since we’ve done it many times before.

Actually, we’ve had several boss battles at night already.

21. Nutmeg

Ah, those materials are from the wolves, right?

There are so many uses for them that we end up hunting them excessively.

22. Gouki

>>21 Exactly.

So, as soon as everyone entered the boss area, the quest started forcefully.

A beam of light shone from the moon, and within it appeared a running rabbit.

We were all charmed by it.

23. Torchbearer

>>22 Haha, that’s hilarious.

24. Nutmeg

>>22 It suddenly became a fancy story, didn’t it?

25. Gouki

The moment the rabbit touched the ground, it pulled out a gigantic pestle.

In simple terms, it looked like it was pounding rice cakes.

26. Akatsuki

How adorable!

27. Jack

Seems weak (death flag).

28. Jiromaru

I have a bad feeling about this.

29. Fumifumi

Why is the narrative tone so horror-like, I wonder?

30. Daken

>>29 I don’t like perceptive strategists like you.

31. Gouki

The rabbit approached us, dragging the pestle. It was surprisingly slow for a rabbit.

However, considering it was our opponent in this trial, it couldn’t possibly be weak.

With that in mind, we assumed our usual formation.

Tank 1, Melee Attackers 2, Archer 1, Mage 1, Healer1.

This was our classic party composition.

32. Gouki

And finally, the moment arrived.

As the rabbit swung down its pestle, our Tank intercepted it with their shield…

33. Foolish Link

Heart pounding…

34. Coater

Exciting…

35. Gouki

Our Tank died.

36. Akatsuki

>>35 What?

37. Torchbearer

>>35 Huh?

38. Coater

>>35 Huh?

39. Jiromaru

>>35 Huh?

40. Gouki

After that, it was pure chaos.

We somehow managed to regroup and bring its health down to half, but then it discarded the pestle and started wielding a massive blade… probably a machete.

With the sudden return to its original speed as a rabbit, we couldn’t keep up and ended up wiped out.

That’s the sequence of events.

41. Jack

Seriously? >>40, your party members were equipped with top-tier front line equipment, right?

And yet, you couldn’t withstand it…

42. Gouki

Just to share the results of the appraisal conducted by my companions.

Although there are still many unknowns, amidst the storm of blades, this is what we managed to confirm:

Name: Pyonkichi (Shadow)

Race: Moon Shadow Rabbit, Level 25

Job: Moon Warrior, Level 7

I’m feeling tired today, so I’m going to log off.

I’m sure there will be many questions, but please ask them tomorrow or later.

43. Akatsuki

>>42 There’s so much I want to say, but good job and take care.

44. Jack

>>42 Well done, and take care.

By the way, it’s the first time I’ve seen a named monster like that.

And it’s level 25, what’s up with that?

45. Nutmeg

The name is cute.

46. Fumifumi

I don’t feel like I can win, and it seems like it’s going to get rough again.

[Late Night] Trial of the Azure Moon Thread 1 [Intense Battle!]

1. Ricardo

This is a thread to discuss the trial of the Azure Moon.

Please share any new information you have.

>>980, Please start the thread discussions

94. Seth

Does the management team even intend to let us clear it?

95. Maruo

I’d like to give it a try, but even the top players didn’t stand a chance, right?

96. Gantetsu

>>91 If you get any materials from the trial, bring them to me!

97. Barber’s Clippers

>>96 Hello, top blacksmith! It seems that even as a producer, you’re concerned about materials~

98. Gantetsu

>>97 That’s a matter of course.

99. Lina

>>97 Naturally.

100. Aina

I have a report to make.

Our party managed to overcome the trial somehow!

101. Barber’s Clippers

>>99 So there’s even a top tailor…

102. Maruo

>>100 Wow, really? lollol!

103. Ricardo

>>100 Seriously?

104. Gantetsu

>>100 Are you from the hero’s party? Did any ores drop?

105. Lina

>>100 Did you get any leather or cloth?

106. Aina

We just defeated it a moment ago, so I’m not entirely sure about the flow of the thread, but I’ll provide the information on the opponent we appraised.

Name: Lunaville Pixie

Race: Moonlit Evil Fairy Lv25

Job: Space-Time Mage Lv7

As the race suggests, it’s a small fairy. However, be cautious, as it mercilessly comes to kill.

Its basic tactic is to bomb with magic while flying around swiftly. It unleashes magic spells like a dancing butterfly.

It seems to have low health, but during the fifty percent and thirty percent intervals, it uses powerful wide-range magic. The power is incredibly high, so rearguard members should be mindful of their health.

Now, regarding the reward for clearing the trial, it is ###############.

107. Mountain dog

>>106 Huh? Did it glitch at the end?

108. Ricardo

>>107 No, this is how it appears when the developers hide the information.

109. Gantetsu

>>107 It’s the developers. They’re basically telling us to confirm the reward ourselves.

110. Aina

It seems we can’t disclose the details about the rewards.

I apologize to those who were expecting it.

In our case, we only received equipment, no materials.

111. Lina

No materials then. That’s unfortunate!

112. Gantetsu

>>110 How is the performance?

113. Aina

>>112 I don’t think I can provide detailed information, but it’s considerably good.

114. Barber’s Clippers

So, as long as we dodge questions about the equipment, it’s fine.

But it means that the top contender for Sunday’s tournament obtained equipment from boss drops.

115. Maruo

>>114 Oh, that’s right.

116. Ricardo

>>114 Personally, I’m more thrilled about the confirmed expedition to the “Nightmare of the Northern Mountain” tomorrow.

115. Mountain Dog

>>116 Absolutely.

[Come Together] Non-Human Thread 3 [Forest of FSW]

1. Anonymous Bird

This is a thread where non-human players gather.

It’s a laid-back board for casual chatting, questions, and anything else.

Previous thread: http://***************

>>990, Please start the thread discussions

2. Anonymous Lizard

Nice thread creation.

3. Anonymous Fish

Nice. But this thread isn’t getting much attention. There aren’t many people here.

4. Anonymous Bird

>>3 It’s a bit late now, isn’t it?

There are very few non-human players, and many of them don’t use bulletin boards.

Basically, we’re not really a fixed group.

5. Anonymous Dog

>>4 Exactly.

But why isn’t non-human stuff more popular?

6. Anonymous Lizard

>>5 Isn’t the main reason that markers make us appear just like regular animals?

I once had someone say, “Oh, it’s a rare enemy, let’s kill it!” and they chased after me.

I managed to escape, though.

7. Anonymous Dog

Oh, I see.

I didn’t realize that because if they spotted me, they would always try to pet me (bragging).

8. Anonymous Fish

Speaking of markers, I heard that even if you’re a non-human, if you’re a monster-type, your marker turns black just like normal monsters.

So, when you think about it, that famous “Nightmare of the Northern Mountains” might actually be a player, you know?

9. Anonymous Bird

>>8 “Nightmare of the Northern Mountains”? What’s that? Sounds cool, lol.

10. Anonymous Lizard

>>9 It’s not a laughing matter.

My real-life friend got attacked and had their throat ripped out, and they died.

It’s become a bit of a traumatic experience for me.

11. Anonymous Fish

It’s off-topic, but I’ll mention it anyway.

During the beta phase, the standard strategy was to level up in the easiest Southern Plains and then proceed to either the Northern Mountains or the Eastern Plains.

Right after the official launch of the service, the beta testers, equipped with special bonus weapons and armor, quickly headed north or east. Since the equipment compensated for the level difference, efficiency was the main focus.

However, there was a strange goblin in the Northern Mountains.

While others were wielding wooden clubs and such, that particular goblin fought barehanded.

We laughed at the foolishness, but when we actually engaged in battle, one of the top parties from the beta phase was wiped out effortlessly.

Perhaps it was the earliest party wipe since the game’s inception.

Since then, there have been frequent incidents of people being brutally killed by the unarmed goblin in the Northern Mountains.

Even the strategy groups fell prey to it.

The goblin that transformed a once-easy field into an extremely dangerous zone is now revered by players as the “Nightmare of the Northern Mountains.”

12. Anonymous Bird

Eek…

13. Anonymous Fish

Let’s get back on track.

The reason I propose the theory of the “Nightmare of the Northern Mountains” being a player is that the more you hear about it, the more it seems to move in ways that are impossible if he was not a human.

Things like feigning an attempt to remove a shield and instead shattering knee caps with a kick—what kind of AI does that?

14. Anonymous Lizard

>>13 Well, even if it were a human, that’s still a problem.

To mercilessly shatter someone’s kneecaps like that, what kind of beast does that?

15. Anonymous Dog

Well, regardless, it’s all over for that creature.

The top players are forming a legion to hunt it down in the mountains.

16. Anonymous Bird

>>15 A legion—isn’t that when several parties join forces?

Is that goblin some kind of raid boss or something?

17. Anonymous Fish

>>16 Well, at the very least, the mountains are its territory, so it probably requires a sizable number to find it.

A swarm tactic might be essential to locate it.

But if it truly is a player and they happen to notice this thread, I would want them to come. Out of curiosity, you know.

18. Anonymous Lizard

>>17 I understand that. I wouldn’t want to get involved, though.
