Volume 6: Prison Wolf Chapter 5

Ketch’s breath, as he grasped the baton, was close to my face and accompanied by a sickening stench.

Was this another one of his tactics? He was desperately trying to remove the baton I had pressed against him.

Perhaps he couldn’t tolerate losing with the power he greatly boasted of?

I wasn’t entirely sure, but since his attention seemed to be focused on the baton, I wordlessly delivered a swift kick to Ketch’s groin.

“Ugh…!!”

He winced in pain, unable to even utter a sound.

Seizing his dominant arm, I proceeded to break his bone.

It felt unpleasant, but I steeled my heart and fractured his leg bone as well.

I wanted to break Ketch’s spirit in this way. Otherwise, I knew I wouldn’t stand a chance of avoiding being dragged into the darkness and violated.

I also wanted to leave a lasting impression on Ketch’s underlings, making them realize that I was a fearsome man who would do anything to protect my a**.

I grabbed Ketch by his hair, lifting his drooping head.

If he had still shown a hint of defiance, I would have considered going for his finger bones next, but he seemed to be foaming at the mouth, unconscious.

Perhaps he had lost consciousness after the initial groin kick.

Maybe I had crushed his balls…

I had done enough at this point.

Ketch had plenty of enemies.

Even if I didn’t deliver the final blow, there was a good chance that the weakened Ketch would be eliminated.

Nevertheless, one thing was certain: his influence would diminish.

As for his lust… it was depleted, perhaps?

I had thought about scorching his private parts with a fire spell if there was no other option, but it seemed I had managed to avoid that.

Regardless, I didn’t enjoy hurting people.

I didn’t want to stay in this place any longer.

It was about time to bring dinner to the esteemed hero.

I needed to gaze at the virtuous hero and try to heal my troubled heart, even just a little.

“Prisoner No. 328 will go to solitary confinement. Is that alright, Matthew?”

“Y-Yeah…”

Since I obtained my colleague’s approval, there shouldn’t be any issues.

Pellet obediently handed me the stone he had been holding in his hand.

“You’ll be in solitary confinement for a while. Endure it,”

“Yes… Thank you,”

And just like that, I escorted Pellet to the solitary confinement cell.

   ♢

Not a single prisoner uttered a word.

No one could have expected Barton, that slender and gentle looking man, to knock Ketch down like that.

“W-Who’s that?”

“He’s the prison guard, Wolf.”

“Wolf? Fits the name perfectly, like a damn wolf.”

“Yeah. Like a prison wolf…”

It’s unclear who started it, but from that evening on, Barton Wolf became known as the Prison Wolf.
