Thanks to Chu Feng’s timely discovery, Zhou Ji’s scheme didn’t stir up any trouble at all. The only victims or rather, the two victims were probably Liu Xueyao and Liu Shijing.
Oh, and also Zi Yuejun, whose heart took quite a blow.
As for Mei Jiji, she was captured not long after, and Liu Shijing even personally went to interrogate her.
After that, she took Liu Xueyao and headed to the Holy Master, bringing along the shattered Soul Shifting Pearl.
By the time Chu Feng saw the two women again, their bodies had already been restored.
Seeing them, he couldn’t help but be impressed. As expected of a powerhouse from the Yaochi Holy Land. One glance and you could tell she was truly capable.
However, upon returning, Liu Shijing told him that the Holy Master wanted to see him personally.
This left Chu Feng a bit confused. Why would the Holy Master want to see him?
Liu Shijing said she didn’t know either.
So, under her guidance, he made his way to the grand hall again. But unlike last time, where he only stood outside, this time he was going inside.
“You brat, once you’re in there, don’t talk too much or stare too much, got it?”
Liu Shijing warned him. She herself wasn’t sure why the Holy Master had summoned Chu Feng. The Holy Master had been in seclusion for a hundred years—
Actually, since she had known the Holy Master, this was the first time the Saint had personally invited a man into her residence.
“I understand. Don’t worry, senior.”
At this moment, Chu Feng was feeling nervous. He was also puzzled as to why the Holy Master wanted to see him.
Moreover, he couldn’t shake the feeling that the Holy Master was treating him too well.
Same with Liu Xueyao. Her favorability toward him had shot straight to the max the moment they met.
As Chu Feng stepped up to the grand hall’s entrance, the scene before his eyes instantly shifted and became dizzying. A few breaths later, a wooden sliding door appeared in front of him.
Beyond that door was the Holy Master of the Yaochi Holy Land.
Chu Feng took a deep breath and pushed the door open, only to be met with a thick steam clouding the entire room. The view was hazy, visibility extremely low, but he could vaguely make out a large pool ahead.
And next to the pool, there was a figure.
“Little one, since you’re here, how about sharing a drink?”
A soft, gentle voice drifted over, carrying a hint of ethereal charm.
As the words fell, the mist thinned slightly, and only then did Chu Feng finally get a clearer look at the pool.
Not far away, a white-haired woman was sitting sideways, wrapped in a white bath towel. Her long snow-white hair flowed past her proud and lofty chest, with some strands even floating atop the water’s surface. Because she was sitting at the pool’s edge, it emphasized the fullness of her curves.
Her long slender legs were pressed together, and her snow-white feet lightly touched the water, sending ripples outward.
Chu Feng blinked, and his brain short-circuited for a moment. However, he quickly came to his senses and turned around immediately.
“H-Holy Master, I’m so sorry….I didn’t know you were… bathing.”
At this point, he was finally certain. Every single time he met someone from the Yaochi Holy Land, it somehow ended in a suggestive misunderstanding.
Could it be that his fate just clashed with the Yaochi Holy Land?
Chu Feng stood frozen in place, not daring to move, quietly waiting.
The white-haired woman finished her bath.
Zi Xiner, seeing Chu Feng standing there foolishly not far away, hadn’t actually expected his sudden arrival either. She had originally intended to bathe before meeting this little fellow.
Who would have thought she wouldn’t even sense his presence? That was a bit of a miscalculation.
Could it be… the effect of the Five-Colored Stone? Concealing one’s presence…
Still, she didn’t blame him. This little fellow wasn’t just her best friend’s beloved disciple. He had also been acknowledged by the legendary Five-Colored Stone. That elegant figure from back then… even she had felt a tinge of awe.
As for this little breach of etiquette….compared to her centuries of life, Chu Feng was just a teenage brat.
Zi Xiner slowly stood up, and with a flash of white light, she was now dressed in a white robe, her aura radiating holiness.
“All right, little one, you may turn around now.”
Hearing that, Chu Feng slowly turned, and what came into view was a beautiful woman in white.
Only now could he clearly see the face of the white-haired lady.
Her appearance was breathtaking….flawless icy skin, graceful bone structure, brows like crescent moons, and eyes that seemed to hold an autumn lake within them.
She was utterly mesmerizing. Her plump moist lips looked even softer beneath the mist.
On her forehead was a silver-white mark, like flowing ripples of water.
“This disciple, Chu Feng, greets the Holy Master.”
Chu Feng bowed deeply and respectfully.
Seeing this, Zi Xiner gave a gentle smile and said, “Little one, no need for such formalities. I’ve known your master for several hundred years. From now on, just call me Aunt Zi.”
My master?! The Holy Master actually knows my master!?
This genuinely caught Chu Feng off guard. His master had never mentioned anything of the sort.
But someone of this level wouldn’t lie about something like that.
And with that, it made sense why the Holy Master had allowed him to recover from his injuries at the Yaochi Holy Land; it all added up now.
As for calling the Holy Master “Aunt Zi”, he didn’t mind at all. After all, having another powerful backer…why not take advantage of it?
“This disciple, Chu Feng, greets Aunt Zi.”
At his words, Zi Xiner’s lips curved into a smile. With a flick of her finger, a jade box flew toward Chu Feng.
“Inside this is a spiritual medicine I prepared for you. Once you drink it, the yin cold within your body will be completely purged.”
As she spoke, the space around them began to shift, and the pool disappeared.
Chu Feng now found himself in a quiet meditation room, with a cushion at his feet.
“Sit down, little one.”
Zi Xiner gracefully arranged her skirt and took a seat.
Chu Feng also sat down obediently…though, truth be told, he was dying to ask: “Holy Master, why did you summon me?”
But then he remembered what that senior had said earlier, “Watch less, speak less”. If he happened to say something wrong and upset this powerful figure, he’d be the one to suffer.
Seeing Chu Feng remain silent and withdrawn, Zi Xiner couldn’t help but wonder. This was her first time in a hundred years talking to a child. She was already speaking as gently as she could, so why was this little one still so stiff?
She had no idea how Xiyue usually got along with this child. It seemed she would have to ask Xiyue for some advice sometime.
“Little one, are you afraid of me?”
“Not at all, Holy Master… I mean, Aunt Zi is very gentle. How could I possibly be afraid?”
“Then, is it that you don’t want to talk to me?”
“It’s not that. I just… don’t know what to talk about with Aunt Zi.”
Chu Feng scratched his cheek, feeling awkward. To him, the white-haired woman before him, dressed in pure white and radiating a sacred aura, looked just like a holy goddess descended to earth. The moment he saw her, his first instinct was: “Oh no, Holy Master, forgive my sins.”
Since he couldn’t think of anything to say, his first meeting with Zi Xiner ended rather quickly.
After all, the two of them just sitting there staring at each other wasn’t going to work.
In truth, Zi Xiner had wanted to ask about the Five-Colored Stone. As a legendary item, she was curious to witness it herself. But considering this was their first meeting, and the little one was clearly still guarded around her, she decided to hold back….for now.
This matter….she would bring it up only after getting a bit closer to the little one.
A moment later, Zi Xiner said, “Little one, let’s leave it here for today.”
Upon hearing that, Chu Feng was nearly in tears. Finally, he was free. Being in front of the Holy Master had been too overwhelming. Even the Empress of the Great Yan hadn’t made him feel this much pressure. Just sitting there had felt like sitting on pins and needles.
“Aunt Zi, then I’ll take my leave.”
Before he left, however, the Holy Master gave him something.
It was a cultivation manual, supposedly related to soul refinement.
When he opened it, sure enough, it was packed densely with text and not a single illustration.
He couldn’t understand any of it, so into the storage pouch it went… where it would probably gather dust for now.
Learning how to read the writing of this cultivation world….yeah, that needed to be added to his to-do list.
Still, this trip hadn’t been in vain. He’d obtained the final dose of medicine needed to purge the yin cold from his body and even got his hands on a cultivation technique. Even if he couldn’t read it yet.
But what surprised Chu Feng the most… was that he had somehow ended up acknowledging an aunt who just so happened to be the Holy Master of the Yaochi Holy Land!
