Chapter 106: Once, Twice….Drinking Again

Released:

Chu Feng had truly just wanted to study seriously, but now… in this situation….

He swallowed hard, trying to suppress the impulses stirring within him. But whether Liu Xueyao meant to or not, her warm breath brushed against his ear. How was he supposed to stay calm like this?

Agonizing. He felt like writing this single character took an eternity. It was pure torment.

Off to the side, Liu Shijing pretended to read her book but was actually sneaking glances at the two of them. When she saw what was happening, she bit her red lip lightly.

Xueyao was way too close to that damn brat!

She wanted to say something to stop them, but… they really were just studying how to write characters. Thankfully, they weren’t practicing how to write the character for “proper”.

Suddenly, she thought of a good idea. If she could just expose the filthy desires hidden deep in that brat’s heart… hmph! Once Xueyao saw the true face of this man, she would surely go back to how she used to be.

After all, what’s love compared to cultivation?

Her last attempt to sabotage things by getting him drunk had failed. Instead, she ended up drunk herself.

But this time, she had a new plan. And it would succeed!

The next second, Liu Shijing’s figure vanished from where she had been.

No one knew how much time had passed, but finally, Chu Feng finished writing the character and let out a sigh of relief.

Looking at the finished word before him. It definitely looked better than the one he had written earlier.

“Thank you for your guidance, Sister Saintess.”

Chu Feng had originally thought that once the lesson was over, Liu Xueyao would step away from behind him.

But aside from no longer holding his hand, the soft pressure on his back was still there.

Great. Now he couldn’t help but recall a lyric from “Piggy Hero”.

In truth, Liu Xueyao had a naturally cold temperament. The only thing that truly interested her… was getting close…. physically close to her husband.

Breathing in his scent gave her a sense of peace. The feeling of loss she often carried instantly vanished.

Her life had always been lonely. Aside from her aunt, no one had ever kept her company. Chu Feng was the only person who had truly entered her inner world. For someone like her, who was withdrawn and reclusive, wherever her husband was…. there she would be. She couldn’t bring herself to let go.

However, in this life… it seemed her aunt had also gotten entangled with her husband.

But she hadn’t exposed her aunt’s feelings. Whether it was her aunt or her husband, both were important people to her. If the three of them could live together in harmony from now on, that would be better than anything else.

If Liu Shijing knew that her niece was thinking this way, she’d probably faint from sheer rage.

Liu Xueyao was about to teach Chu Feng the next character when a message came through her communication token. It was an emergency summon.

“Husband, I need to leave for a moment.”

“Oh, okay, Sister Saintess.”

Just in time. Chu Feng figured he could use this break to calm down his rather overheated emotions.

After speaking, Liu Xueyao turned into a stream of light and flew off.

Chu Feng looked at the massive book beside him, nearly as tall as he was, and his mouth twitched.

There were this many characters in this world?!

At this rate, even if he studied nonstop every day, it would take him years to recognize them all.

Just as Chu Feng was flipping through the table of contents, a streak of light approached. He thought Liu Xueyao had returned, but the graceful figure that stepped out belonged to Liu Shijing.

Only now, compared to earlier, Liu Shijing had applied quite a striking makeup look. Her lips were as red as lacquer, exuding a seductive allure.

Chu Feng blinked in surprise when he saw her. This makeup style was completely different from her previous elegant and refined appearance. It was a bit… sultry.

Seeing the dazed look on Chu Feng’s face, Liu Shijing was quite pleased. Her careful effort to dress up hadn’t gone to waste. How else was she supposed to tease out this brat’s inner desires?

“You little rascal, what do you think of this look?”

Chu Feng blinked and looked her up and down.

“Senior, this look is quite nice. While it’s a different style from before, it suits you well. There’s a refined grace, yet also a striking charm. The combination gives off a dignified elegance tinged with irresistible allure.”

Liu Shijing was secretly satisfied. Hmph, this brat actually has good taste.

Chu Feng watched as Liu Shijing sat down beside the desk, put away the paper, ink, and brush, and pulled out a flask along with two wine cups. A bad feeling immediately welled up inside him.

“Senior… what are you doing?”

“Nothing much. I just happened to bring a special flask of old sake for a casual drink.”

In truth, Liu Shijing had originally planned to give Chu Feng a special pill. A Mind-Bewitching Pill, one that would make him spill all the desires buried deep in his heart.

However, worried that this brat might not drink it, she had specially ground the pill into powder, mixed it into the sake, and used the aroma of the alcohol to mask the scent of the medicine.

When Chu Feng saw the sake, the scene of the three of them getting drunk before flashed through his mind. It also reminded him…Liu Shijing had terrible drinking habits.

“Uh, Senior, if you’re feeling bored, I can chat with you to pass the time. As for drinking… maybe we can skip that part.”

Noticing Chu Feng’s cautious tone, Liu Shijing raised her fair wrist and filled both cups to the brim.

“You brat, it’s just sake. You can try a sip first. If you find it too strong, I won’t force you to drink.”

Was that really the issue?

If he got drunk, he’d probably just pass out. But if Liu Shijing got drunk again, she might end up clinging to him and biting him like last time.

Still, after hearing what she said, he decided to at least try one cup. Just one cup—it should be fine.

“All right, Senior, I’ll give it a try.”

Chu Feng picked up the cup and downed it in one go.

Just as Liu Shijing had said, it wasn’t strong at all. In fact, it had a surprisingly pleasant aftertaste.

Seeing Chu Feng drink it, a faint smile appeared at the corner of Liu Shijing’s lips.

“You brat, what do you think of Xueyao?”

“Sister Saintess? Hmm… I respect and admire her, just like I do my own master.”

“No other thoughts?”

“No, that’s all. If I had to say more… I guess I’d add a bit of gratitude. Without Sister Saintess and you, Senior, I might not have made it out of the Sky Mending Secret Realm alive.”

Suddenly, Chu Feng felt a wave of daze wash over him. Unknowingly, it had already been quite some time since he arrived in this world.

His memories from before the transmigration were starting to feel blurry.

When Liu Shijing heard Chu Feng express gratitude toward her, even though it wasn’t exactly the answer she wanted, it was still enough to please her.

“Master? You brat, is your master really the Moonlight Sword Fairy?”

“Of course, Senior. That’s absolutely true. And I even with my master…”

Halfway through his sentence, Chu Feng abruptly stopped. A sudden awareness hit him. Why did he feel like spilling everything?

If he accidentally revealed what had happened between him and his master, it would definitely bring her serious trouble.

“What about you and your master? You brat, out with it.”

Liu Shijing hated it when people stopped mid-sentence. It left her feeling unbearably annoyed.

“It’s nothing. Mm… I’ve always respected my master deeply.”

Chu Feng emphasized again.

Looks like the medicine still wasn’t strong enough. Liu Shijing refilled his cup, not giving up.

Based on her century’s worth of gossip-reading experience, this brat’s hesitation when talking about his master definitely hinted at a juicy secret.

If he turned out to be someone who didn’t respect his master but instead defied her recklessly, then at least Xue Yao would see his true character.

Chu Feng picked up the wine cup, just about to take another sip, when he noticed Liu Shijing staring intently at him or rather, at the cup in his hand.

Seeing his drinking motion pause, Liu Shijing feigned nonchalance and said, “You brat, why aren’t you drinking?”

“Senior, I just… don’t feel quite at ease about this wine.”

All at once, Chu Feng blurted out his suspicion.

Chu Feng: !!??

Why couldn’t he control his mouth?!

As expected, there really was something off about the wine Liu Shijing had brought.

So the brat had caught on!

But Liu Shijing was unwilling to give up just yet. He’d already had one cup. She couldn’t let things end halfway.

To ease Chu Feng’s doubts, she decided to drink a cup herself. One drink shouldn’t be a problem, right? That brat was just struggling to keep things in. It wasn’t like he lost control completely. She should be able to handle it too.

“You brat, how dare you doubt my wine? Fine, I’ll drink it in front of you!”

With that, Liu Shijing downed her cup in one go.

Seeing that Liu Shijing had already taken a drink herself, Chu Feng figured he might as well have one more. After this cup, though, no matter what….he wasn’t drinking anymore.
