Chapter 119: Collision in the Bath

Chu Feng slowly opened his eyes and extended his palm. A thumb-sized five-colored sword was flickering in his hand. This was the result he had just painstakingly condensed with all his might.

As the five-colored sword appeared, the true qi within his body was rapidly being consumed, startling him into quickly putting it away. If he had looked at it a moment longer, he feared that a third of his true qi would have been drained.

Lifting his head, a faint and cool fragrance lingered at the tip of his nose. The Saintess was right beside him.

“Sister Saintess, I did it!”

He exclaimed excitedly.

A genuine joy surfaced in Liu Xueyao’s cool, beautiful eyes.

“Husband, congratulations!”

The timeline… had changed.

She remembered that in his past life, although her husband had fused two types of sword intent, he had never built a sword foundation. Now, in this life, he had formed it. Whether that was a good or bad thing… she didn’t know.

The next day, Chu Feng received a message from Zi Xin’er asking him to come to the main hall.

What was going on?

Didn’t she say he could rest today?

Although he was reluctant, Chu Feng still had to go….after all, this was someone else’s domain.

Besides, over the past few days, aside from Zi Xin’er insisting on treating him like a little child, she hadn’t done anything harmful to him. Her personality was also gentle and kind.

As he walked into the main hall, a door appeared before Chu Feng.

Pushing it open, he found that the space inside was vast. Steam filled the air in the center….it was a massive hot spring. The dense steam formed a thick mist, making one feel as if they had stepped into a celestial realm.

Seeing this hot spring, Chu Feng recalled the first time he had met Zi Xin’er. It seemed… it had been right here…

“Aunt Zi, are you there?”

The mist inside was so thick that he could only vaguely make out a dark figure in the middle. He wasn’t sure if it was Zi Xin’er or not.

Chu Feng called out to the figure, but it didn’t move or respond.

He tried to release his spiritual sense, but it felt as if it had sunk into a swamp. The surrounding mist absorbed it completely.

Summoning his courage, he walked toward the hot spring. As he got closer, he realized the dark figure was actually a large rock. No wonder it hadn’t responded earlier when he called out.

“Well then, I’d better leave for now.”

The longer Chu Feng stayed there, the stronger the faint sense of unease that crept into his heart.

When he pushed open the door, Chu Feng was stunned. Outside was pitch black, as if he were deep in outer space. Looking down, there was no bottom in sight.

Where… where was the path he came from?!

Chu Feng didn’t dare to take a single step forward. He felt that if he fell, he’d definitely be dead meat.

Left with no choice, he returned inside the room.

Guess I’ll just wait here for Aunt Zi.

But no matter how long he waited, no one showed up. On top of that, the longer he stayed, the stickier and more uncomfortable his body felt.

Glancing at the hot spring in front of him, he dipped his hand into the water; it was pleasantly warm. What surprised him even more was that this warmth flowed through his meridians, actually suppressing the cold energy inside his body.

What a treasure!

Chu Feng’s eyes lit up. His body felt sticky anyway, and soaking in the spring would also help alleviate the cold energy within him. Two birds with one stone.

Besides, he thought, I’ll be quick. Aunt Zi still isn’t here after all this time….this little moment won’t make a difference.

Chu Feng took off his clothes, stored them in his storage pouch, and jumped into the hot spring.

“Ah… so good~”

He swam to the large rock, leaned his body against it, and closed his eyes. No wonder the Romans loved bathing so much….soaking in warm water and clearing your mind felt amazing.

Just as Chu Feng was enjoying his relaxing soak, he seemed to hear the sound of a door being pushed open. He opened his eyes, but the thick mist made it impossible to see clearly.

Must be my imagination.

He closed his eyes again. Just a little longer, then he’d get out and put on his clothes.

Then, a faint rustling sound echoed. The sound of clothes being removed.

Chu Feng: !!!

In an instant, his eyes snapped open. Two shadowy figures appeared in front of him, accompanied by voices.

“Elder Liu, it’s been a long time since the two of us bathed together.”

“Yes, the last time I bathed with the Holy Master was twenty years ago.”

Liu Shijing!!!

Chu Feng instantly recognized the two voices; one was Zi Xin’er and the other… was Liu Shijing.

His scalp went numb. The sound of the door earlier was not a hallucination!

At this moment, he seriously wanted to go back and slap himself twice. But it was too late for regrets now. Thankfully, the mist here could block spiritual sense, and it was still dense enough that he probably wouldn’t be discovered for a while.

Whether it was Zi Xin’er or Liu Shijing, if he were to be discovered in this situation… he would be in serious trouble.

Splash, splash—

The sound of splashing water echoed. It looked like the two of them had entered the hot spring.

Chu Feng hurriedly and carefully moved behind a large rock. Thankfully, there was one here; otherwise, he would’ve had to hold his breath and hide underwater. That would’ve been a real test of lung capacity.

When he successfully made it behind the rock, he let out a sigh of relief. Fortunately, the thick mist in the hot spring still provided good cover.

Hiding behind the rock, Chu Feng felt like every second was torture. People talk about days feeling like years. He felt like every second dragged on like a year.

Given the situation, he couldn’t help but think of those classic anime scenes, where the male lead accidentally runs into the female lead in a bath, and then their relationship quickly deepens as a result.

But if that happened to him now, it wouldn’t lead to romance. It might just get his third leg broken.

Sure, there were pills that could perfectly reattach it, but that didn’t mean it wouldn’t hurt when it got broken.

He didn’t know how much time had passed when the sound of water splashing returned, along with the sound of conversation.

Mist rose from the surface of the water. The two elegant, mature women soaked in the hot spring had tall, graceful figures. The water came up just high enough to cover half the mountain peaks….the very tips sat just beneath the surface. But as the water rippled, a glimpse of plum blossom occasionally bloomed on the snowy peaks.

Zi Xin’er’s long, snowy-white hair floated on the surface of the water. Her gaze was soft as she looked at Liu Shijing before her and said, “Over the past hundred years, I’ve been in seclusion, immersed in cultivation. I ended up leaving a mountain of responsibilities to all of you. It must have been hard on you, Elder Liu.”

Liu Shijing wore her hair in a bun. Under the rising steam, her fair and delicate face took on a soft pink hue. Enjoying the soothing sensation of soaking in the hot spring, she narrowed her eyes slightly and said, “You flatter me, Holy Master. It’s just a few trivial matters. Besides, if you manage to break through, our Yaochi Holy Land will gain another Ninth Rank Ancestor.”

Even for a force like the Yaochi Holy Land, a Ninth Rank cultivator carried considerable weight.

Zi Xin’er raised her arm, and her fair fingers glided across her skin. Drops of water trickled down her arm, sliding smoothly between her breasts.

“Speaking of which, after all this time… has Elder Liu found someone she likes?”

At those words, a young figure flashed through Liu Shijing’s mind. She gently pressed her moist, rosy lips together and said, “You are joking, Holy Master. I’ve lived like this for a hundred years…I’ve gotten used to it. Having someone else around would only feel uncomfortable.”

Zi Xin’er nodded thoughtfully, then said calmly, “Then, what does Elder Liu think of that little fellow, Chu Feng?”

Liu Shijing: !!!

At the mention of Chu Feng, her face flushed, the natural pink from the steam instantly deepening in color.

“H-Holy Master, what are you talking about? He’s just a little brat!”

Liu Shijing spoke with a mix of embarrassment and irritation in her tone.

Zi Xin’er saw her reaction and laughed. “In that case, I’m thinking of arranging for you and the boy to tie the knot. What do you think, Elder Liu?”
