Chapter 71: Lu Xiyue and Ji Yuhuang’s Bet

Released:

In the Imperial Study.

Two stunningly beautiful women stood in opposition, neither willing to back down. They were both radiating intense competitive auras.

Ji Yuhuang who was clad in a dragon robe had phoenix-like eyes brimming with authority. Her commanding and heroic presence was enough to make anyone tremble.

Lu Xiyue who was dressed in elegant blue robes had coldness in her beautiful eyes. Sword intent surged around her, sending chills down the spine of anyone who looked her way.

“So what? Don’t forget that I’m Feng’er’s master. And let’s not forget that I drank his first soup.”

That alone gave Lu Xiyue reason to look down on Ji Yuhuang with pride.

She trusted in Feng’er’s character. While he might not go so far as to commit something like betraying his ancestors, riding his master once in a while? That was acceptable.

Besides, she had full confidence in her fertility.

Before every dual cultivation session, she would take pills that boosted fertility, and afterward, she’d make sure to squeeze out every last drop.

“Fufu, is that so?” Ji Yuhuang replied with a smile. “Yours may have been through coaxing and deception, but mine… was completely voluntary. Our little husband came to me willingly.”

“So what? No matter what the process is, the result is the same. And when it comes to the future, I’m sure Feng’er will choose to declare his love for me first.”

Lu Xiyue was confident. After all, the whole “master” identity had its own thrilling appeal.

“Even if you are his master, I am still his trusted friend. The caring big sister he shares his heart with.”

“Trusted big sister?”

Now Lu Xiyue was puzzled. What kind of game was Ji Yuhuang playing?

“How about we make a bet between the two of us, hmm?”

Ji Yuhuang spoke with a half-smile, half-smirk.

“What kind of bet?”

“Let’s bet on who our little husband will confess to first.”

“Deal!”

Lu Xiyue agreed instantly and followed up:

“The stakes are this….whoever loses will have to call the winner ‘Big Sister’ from then on. Not only that, but Feng’er’s first child will belong to the winner!”

“Agreed.”

Ji Yuhuang wore the look of someone confident in victory. With the level of affection her little husband already had for her, just a bit more effort and she’d easily secure the win.

“Looks like not only the title of ‘Big Sister’, but even the eldest child will belong to me!”

“Hah! We’ll see. I’m looking forward to the day you call me Big Sister, Ji Yuhuang. When that happens, I’ll be so generous, I might even let you hold the child Feng’er and I have.”

Lu Xiyue was full of confidence. Feng’er was in his prime and blessed with dual spiritual roots of yin and yang. With a bit more seduction, she was sure this bet was hers to win.

After some twists and turns, Chu Feng ended up back in the side hall once again.

“Screw it! I’m giving up!”

Since there was no way to escape anyway, he might as well just surrender to fate.

Still, there was one thing lingering on his mind….what Sister Wan’er had said about “sword intent”. He only remembered focusing his attention during that moment.

Chu Feng flipped his palm, and Little Bai appeared in his hand. He began focusing his mind, staring intensely at Little Bai’s blade.

Moments passed—

Nothing happened.

The only thing he managed to accomplish was wasting his time.

Haah… Cultivation feels harder than cramming for exams.

Chu Feng let out a heavy sigh. At least with exams, there were tips and strategies. But cultivation? Even with talent, you still needed resources, cultivation techniques, spirit stones… everything had to be in place. Miss one, and you’re stuck.

Suddenly, Chu Feng remembered the hidden passage in the room.

He returned to where it was and stomped hard—

Sure enough, nothing happened.

Looks like someone had discovered the passage and sealed it up.

Great… now I’m officially a caged bird.

And normally, that term applies to women. Yet here he was, a man, locked up by a woman. His dignity? Shattered all over the floor.

Luckily, he could still gather the pieces and patch it back together.

“I wonder how Senior Sister Yuyan is doing… Why did the Empress take her away?”

Chu Feng felt a wave of worry.

If only Master were here.

After all, his master was the renowned eighth-rank cultivator, the Moonlight Sword Fairy.

Just then, a familiar and enchanting silhouette appeared before his eyes.

Master?!

No way. He must be hallucinating from missing her too much.

There was no way she’d appear here in the palace of the Great Yan. She was supposed to be at the Heaven’s Pinnacle Sect.

Impossible. No way!

Chu Feng shook his head.

Clearly, he needed some real rest if he was starting to see hallucinations.

“Feng’er.”

Now it wasn’t just the familiar silhouette—

Even the voice was real.

No way!

It really was his master!

As Chu Feng caught the familiar scent in the air and gazed into that peerlessly beautiful face, he muttered in disbelief,

“Master… am I dreaming?”

Lu Xiyue stepped up to him and gently patted her obedient disciple’s little head, smiling softly.

“No dream, Feng’er. I’m right here.”

With that, she raised her slender hand and stroked Chu Feng’s cheek—

Then leaned in and kissed his forehead with her soft, red lips.

“Well? Still think you’re dreaming?”

Chu Feng touched his forehead. It really wasn’t a dream!

“Master, how are you even here?”

This was the imperial palace of the Great Yan Empire!

Did she force her way in?

No, that couldn’t be—

If she had stormed in, the place would’ve been in total chaos. Yet everything outside was calm and quiet.

“Of course, it’s because I missed you.”

Lu Xiyue bent down slightly, her breathtaking face so close their noses touched.

“You left for so long… and didn’t even write me one single letter. Feng’er, how do you plan to explain that?”

At such a close distance, Chu Feng’s heart was pounding like mad.

It wasn’t just the intimacy….it was that he had completely forgotten about that!

Damn it!

He instantly felt guilty…

But really, it wasn’t entirely his fault—

After arriving in the imperial capital of the Great Yan Empire, he first competed in a martial arts contest, then that night, he had a dream where he married a woman who looked exactly like the Empress.

After the contest ended, he attended a banquet and somehow, in a daze, ended up proposing to the Empress….and the most ridiculous part was that she actually accepted.

Then he was locked up in this room, soon discovered a secret passage, met Sister Wan’er, encountered a demonic beast, and in a moment of impulse, crossed the line of friendship with Sister Wan’er.

In the end, he ended up back here and after that, he met his master.

Throughout all of this, he had been constantly busy, without a moment’s rest, and somehow… completely forgot to write to his master.

“I’m sorry, Master. I forgot.”

Looking at her poor little disciple’s pitiful expression, Lu Xiyue’s heart softened.

“It’s alright. I’m not going to punish you, Feng’er. Just remember to write to me if you go off somewhere far next time.”

Lu Xiyue didn’t need to guess. She already knew that woman Ji Yuhuang must’ve had a hand in all this.

“Feng’er, have you met the Empress?”

“I have.”

“Then, tell me….do you think the Empress is prettier, or your master?”

“I think… Master is prettier.”

Although Chu Feng thought the Empress was very beautiful, she was also terrifying. His master, on the other hand, was kind to him.

Fortunately, his master didn’t know Sister Wan’er. If she asked who was more beautiful between the two, he’d really be in trouble.

“Feng’er…”

Her beloved disciple’s answer filled Lu Xiyue’s heart with sweetness. A faint pink hue appeared in her beautiful eyes, and the next moment, she pulled Chu Feng into her embrace and kissed him on the lips.

“Mmph!”

At this moment, Chu Feng was completely lost in his master’s gentle affection. Since it wasn’t the first time, he naturally wrapped his arms around her slender waist.

“Hoo… Hoo… It’s been a while since I last checked your cultivation progress. This time, let your master give you a proper lesson.”

As she spoke, the silk sash around Lu Xiyue’s waist loosened, revealing her fair, fragrant shoulder.

As Chu Feng indulged in his master’s impressive figure, Lu Xiyue couldn’t help but hug the little head burrowing into her chest. Her pretty face turned a deep shade of red.

Then, the corners of her lips slowly curled up….this bet, Lu Xiyue was certain she had won!

The two ladies are absolutely brain dead.

They’re both manipulative, and abusive. They can’t accept sharing, since they’d rather just have his kids and watch him DIE apparently.

Also, MC just gets dumber each chapter.

He didn’t write to his master because he was TRAPPED yet he says he forgot? That level of ignorance is simply a miracle.
