487. Anonymous Human

Wow, we’ve got newbies joining right away! Even though it’s the middle of the night in the game, lol.

488. Anonymous Human

Hey there, newbies – welcome!

489. Anonymous Elf

Even though it’s late, the city is full of life. The resident merchants are open for business late at night, too.

490. Anonymous Dwarf

>>487 The night will quickly turn to dawn If you’re doing things like completing combat training in the tutorial, registering with a guild, and shopping to prepare for your adventures. So it works out perfectly.

491. Anonymous Human

I’m a newbie starting today. Is it okay to ask a question?

492. Anonymous Dwarf

The tavern is lively too! There are more dancers than usual, you know!

493. Anonymous Elf

>>491 Sure thing! Go ahead and ask us anything!

494. Anonymous Beastman

>>491 What do you want to know?

I’ll guide you step by step, old man-style (Grin).

495. Anonymous Human

Alright, here’s my question. What’s the strongest weapon for a warrior?

496. Anonymous Beastman

>>491 Feel free to ask anything, right? (speaking like a senior)

497. Anonymous Dwarf

>>495 Ah, weapons like that can be a bit rowdy…

498. Anonymous Human

>>495 If you’re interested in that kind of thing, you should check this out over here.

Check out the Weapon Analysis Thread: http://****************

499. Anonymous Human

>>495 Well, it really depends on the purpose and the situation, you know.

500. Anonymous Elf

>>495 By the way, what kind of character are you using?

501. Anonymous Human

>>500 I’m a mage. I want to know about reliable vanguard characters.

502. Anonymous Dwarf

>>501 So, you’re looking for references when choosing your companions, huh?

Since it’s all detailed in the Weapon Analysis Thread above, you should seriously read that.

After all, not all the residents here have everything memorized.

503. Anonymous Human

>>502 Understood. Thank you.

504. Anonymous Human

>>494 lol, got ignored – classic.

505. Anonymous Elf

It’s quite regrettable that in a thread meant for questions, the first question from a newbie couldn’t be answered.

506. Anonymous Beastman

>>504(´・ω・)

507. Anonymous Human

>>505 Ah, I was able to provide advice though (trembling voice).

508. Anonymous Human

May I ask a question?

509. Anonymous Human

>>507 Advice isn’t a response to a question (Stern voice).

510. Anonymous Dwarf

>>508 What is it?

511. Anonymous Human

I’m a warrior, but would it be wise to learn magic as well?

512. Anonymous Human

>>511 Oh! That’s a great question! Well then, shall I answer?

To put it bluntly, swordsmen who can also use magic become powerful, but it’s tough in the early stages, I suppose.

513. Anonymous Elf

>>511 If you can get through the early stages, you can fight normally.

After that, it’s a matter of preference.

514. Anonymous Dwarf

>>511 It’s unavoidable to be somewhat in between, but because you have more options than a purely physical character, having one in the party becomes a helpful presence.

In the current state of things, if you’re fighting against other players, it’s in the strongest job. Regarding the winners of the martial arts tournament… let’s omit the slightly unique cases, but about half of the awardees were warriors who could use magic.

Also, it’s handy to acquire the skill [Non-Elemental Magic]!

515. Anonymous Elf

>>514 [Non-Elemental Magic] huh?

516. Anonymous Human

>>515 [Non-Elemental Magic] has a balanced offense and defense, and while its power might be modest, it consumes very little magic power, making it suitable for vanguard players.

Furthermore, as you level up, you can learn a spell called Magic Jamming, which interferes with enemy magic. This is quite effective against spell attacks, so vanguard players who can use it are highly valued.

However, while it’s active, you’ll use up magic power rapidly, so if you can’t manage the pace of the battle, you’ll run out of steam quickly.

Also, the fact that you can acquire it through the Adventurer’s Guild’s magic training course is a significant advantage. It allows you to save precious SP!

517. Anonymous Elf

>>516 I see! Thank you very much! This was helpful!

518. Anonymous Beastman

I wonder if newbies will grow strong like this, and before we know it, they would have already surpassed us…

519. Anonymous Elf

>>518 If that were to happen, it would be both joyful and sad…

[Where is] Comprehensive Strategy Thread 40 [The New Continent?]

1. Guren

Welcome to the comprehensive Strategy thread.

Please share any strategy information that can be helpful.

Please follow basic etiquette. Posts violating the rules will be deleted by the moderators.

Previous thread: http://****************

>>980, Please start the thread discussion.

86. Akatsuki

So, in the end, those who found the other continent aren’t part of the strategy group, FA? (TN: Final Answer, probably)

87. Nutmeg

>>86 Probably. It seems like everyone is different, including those who claim to be part of the strategy group, but they ignore the strategies and focus on raising their PS. (TN: Player Score, probably)

88. Jack

The world map in the library is rough, and there might be continents not on the map. Besides, they didn’t reveal which continent they went to…

89. Mountaindog

The name of the strategy group is becoming obsolete…

90. Rouge

>>89 Don’t say things like that!

But seriously, I’m also curious about where they went. Rather, I’m more interested in how they managed to get there.

Even if you wanted to cross the sea, I heard the coastline is still quite far.

91. Fumifumi

>>90 You heard that? But what’s your source?

92. Rouge

>>91 From Hanna

(TN: Hanna is that woman who rides a horse and beats all the players in the tournament.)

93. Gouki

>>92 I’m convinced then.

94. Ricardo

>>92 As expected, lololol!

95. Jiromaru

>>92 Is she carrying a tent and rushing around with her husband (horse) without thinking about anything? Otherwise, how did she get that information?

96. Rouge

>>95 Exactly.

They seem to avoid bosses that can be avoided and thoroughly enjoy blending in with the wind.

And apparently, they’re cutting down monsters as they pass, leveling up, and securing materials.

97. Coater

>>96 Wait, you can actually avoid bosses!?

I’ve never heard of that before.

98. Clipper

>>97 Apparently so. You can just bypass them with a big detour.

In fact, it seems like that’s becoming a route for merchants and such.

99. Coater

>>98 Ah!

So, that’s why seemingly weak merchants are coming from distant areas!

It’s not just for game-related reasons, huh.

100. Daken

>>99 I don’t think the WSS system has anything like that.

If you let those kinds of things slide with the excuse of “It’s just a game”, you might trigger some serious flags.

101. Guren

Getting back on topic, what do you guys think is the other continent that players have reached?

I’m putting my vote on the Terastor continent, which is claimed to be the largest in the world.

102. Torch

In that case, I’ll cast my vote for the Aquaria Islands, known for their thriving maritime trade.

103. Akatsuki

Well then, I’m going for the Flarma Volcanic Island.

It seems likely I could discover some new minerals there.

104. Aina

Then I’ll cast my vote for the Vetus Floating Island.

Although, I have absolutely no idea how one would even get there.

105. Mountaindog

>>104 Maybe they even built a flying ship for it (just guessing)?

106. Gouki

Materials from the other continents… I really want some….

107. Daken

>>106 All we can do is hope that the players who’ve been there bring some back.

108. Akatsuki

>>107 Come on, you should at least say something like “I’ll go there myself” lol. We are, after all, the so-called strategy group lol.

[A Must-Read!] Job Guide Thread 44 [For the Second Batch]

1. Anonymous Human

Welcome to the Job Guide Thread.

This thread contains information about various jobs that players can pursue.

If you’ve stumbled upon a new and unknown job, please consider sharing your findings if possible!

However, in order to verify the authenticity of the information, when reporting a new job, kindly remove your anonymity.

Please follow basic etiquette. Posts violating the rules will be deleted by the moderators.

304. Anonymous Elf

Summary of jobs for the second batch of players

The path from Apprentice X to X is largely fixed, regardless of whether it’s combat-oriented or production-oriented. However, having some skill leveled up to 10 or more seems to expand the options.

For warrior types, choices like swordsman are available, while for mage types, options like fire mage can be chosen.

If your goal is to become a warrior who can also wield magic, consider becoming an Apprentice Mage here. There seem to be job options that require you to have been a mage.

While freedom of job choice is naturally acknowledged, it’s recommended that vanguard players opt for jobs related to their weapon usage. For instance, if you use a sword, Swordsman is a suitable choice; if you prefer a spear, then Spearman, and so on.

For rearguard roles, especially mages, the choice of the job hinges on specializing in a single elemental magic or adeptly using a variety of elemental magics.

In the realm of production, you can either specialize in one area or diversify your creations. However, specialization is more common here. Players who can craft anything are rare, even in the first wave.

Production in the context of FSW is intricate; without raising your skill levels, you won’t be able to create decent items. Therefore, if you’re going to engage in production, it’s recommended to focus on two related types. Specifically, this includes [Blacksmithing] and [Crafting].

In the realm of production, the choice of skills has a significant impact on the uniqueness of the crafted items. There’s essentially no one-size-fits-all combination. To understand what can be achieved with each combination in different jobs, please refer to the production Thread.

305. Anonymous Dwarf

Honestly, isn’t it better to delve into this place once you’ve gotten the hang of being an apprentice?

306. Anonymous Human

Wow, production worked like that?

I had no idea.

307. Hanna

New Job Report.

Job: “Cavalier”. The requirements are unclear, but it’s likely associated with mounted combat.

308. Anonymous Human

>>307 Thanks for the information!

As expected of a pioneer in mounted combat!

309. Anonymous Elf

I’m from the second batch; is this a famous individual?

310. Anonymous Dwarf

>>309 Not only a famous figure, but she was a finalist in the individual division of the martial arts tournament, and she also won the paired division.

She’s someone who can easily secure a spot in the top three, even among female warrior players.

311. Anonymous Human

>>309 She has been incredibly helpful in reporting jobs related to mounted combat in this thread.

Could the progression be: Apprentice Warrior → Apprentice Rider → Rider → Cavalier?

312. Hanna

In the PV (promotional video), they showed my losing battle, and it’s embarrassing.

313. Anonymous Elf

>>312 Nah, not at all. Facing off against the boss of “Asura Plains” which is superior to the “Nightmare of the Northern Mountain”, is more than enough, lololol.

By the way, you’ve reached Level 30. Congrats!

314. Hanna

>>313 Thanks! for both matters!

315. Anonymous Human

I see, so the fact that you have a fourth job means you’ve surpassed Level 30.

You’re definitely in the group of players who are progressing normally!

316. Anonymous Beastman

Huh? Isn’t Level 30 like the mid-tier for the stratgey group…?

317. Hanna

Really? I’m just enjoying a good run with my husband and defeating enemies along the way…

Oh, that’s right. There’s a new job available for my husband too.

It’s called “Warhorse”

318. Anonymous Human

>>317 Seriously!?

319. Anonymous Elf

>>317 A non-human, and specifically a horse-type exclusive job maybe?

320. Anonymous Dwarf

>>317 The fact that there were no reports until now suggests that he had a normal job until now…

So, does that mean the job of the mount changes based on the job of the person riding it?

321. Anonymous Human

>>317 Since they’ve been playing together all along, I’m guessing your husband is also Level 30.

A Level 30 horse… seems like it could easily scatter a group of newbies, lol.

322. Hanna

There’s something relevant to that.

I believe my husband posted about it on the non-human bulletin board; he underwent an evolution and turned into a monster.

Horse → Giant Horse → Swift Horse → Monster Horse.

Something along those lines. Hence, his race is now Demon Horse, and his job is Warhorse.

323. Hanna

Also, it seems that before he became a monster, there was an information message like, “Becoming a monster may make it difficult to enter certain towns. Are you okay with this?”

324. Hanna

Moreover, I think it was possible for him to level up while remaining a Swift Horse.

Because the [riding] skill instructor in Firth was riding a Level 42 Swift Horse.

325. Anonymous Human

Whoa, seriously? lol

326. Anonymous Human

Some seriously unbelievable information just came out, lol.

327. Anonymous Elf

Is it possible to choose not to evolve then!?

328. Anonymous Dwarf

In that case, could it be possible to choose not to evolve even if you became a monster?

329. Anonymous Human

>>327 Hold on, could it also be considered that the instructor’s favorite horse simply “couldn’t” evolve?

330. Anonymous Beastman

Ah! Even though it’s clearly off-topic, I can’t help but get caught up in the discussion!

331. Anonymous Elf

>>328 If only monster big bro was here, we might have been able to ask him…

332. Anonymous Human

>>329 What do you mean?

333. Anonymous Dwarf

>>329 Huh?

334. Anonymous Beastman

>>329 What’s going on?

335. Anonymous Human

I’m the one from 329, but isn’t it often the case that there are various conditions to fulfill in order to take a job?

So, wouldn’t it be natural to consider that there might be certain conditions to clear in order to evolve?

Of course, there might also be the option to not evolve and remain as a regular animal. However, is it not possible that the instructor’s mount in Firth didn’t meet the conditions for evolution?

336. Anonymous Human

Continuing from 335

In other words, the key to evolving might be ‘clearing specific conditions.’ That’s my hypothesis.

Perhaps it’s more like when you fulfill these certain conditions, you’re finally able to evolve? If this hypothesis holds true, monster players who level up by leeching might never evolve and would only level up, like a Level 30 goblin, for example.

According to monster big bro, evolving apparently brings significant enhancements, so it’s not as easy as just leveling up to be able to evolve.

Up until now, it’s been somewhat off-topic and speculative, but precisely because these are monsters, I believe there are definitely certain jobs exclusive to them.

So, to all the fellow second-batch monster players who might be lurking here, please share information once new jobs are revealed!

337. Anonymous Elf

>>336 You’ve really shifted the conversation to jobs quite forcefully, lol.

But it does seem plausible that there are jobs only accessible to monsters.

It’s funny that they have so many questions regarding the new continent, but somehow nobody is wondering WHO these players are…
