Chapter 74: Departure!

Released:

The news of the opening of the Sky-Mending Secret Realm quickly spread throughout the cultivation world. Many sects began dispatching their most outstanding disciples to venture into the secret realm in search of opportunities.

It wasn’t just the disciples of major powers. Numerous rogue cultivators were also gearing up eagerly. Some whose lifespans were nearing their end were preparing to enter as well, as rumors said that within the realm there existed Lifespan Fruits, which could extend the lives of cultivators below the sixth rank.

This time, the Sky-Mending Secret Realm appeared in Xiangshui City of the Northern Region.

The location of the Sky-Mending Secret Realm was always random. So, unless it had fully manifested, no one could predict where it would appear.

Originally an unremarkable place, Xiangshui City shot to fame because of the secret realm’s appearance, drawing the attention of cultivation forces across the land.

Several major sects of the Northern Region immediately announced a temporary takeover of Xiangshui City, sending experts to the area. This wasn’t to monopolize the Sky-Mending Secret Realm, but to maintain order.

Without the backing of a major sect, even battles could break out outside the secret realm entrance.

Among hostile factions, just a simple “What are you looking at?” followed by “Looking at you, what of it?”…

No more words after that….out come the weapons, and the real battle begins.

People would suffer heavy casualties before even stepping inside.

The Great Yan, Imperial Capital, in front of the Empress’s exclusive teleportation array.

The entire area was under tight lockdown. Chu Feng arrived at the teleportation array, where Lu Xiyue and Ji Yuhuang were already waiting.

“Feng’er, are you ready?”

Lu Xiyue reached out to gently pat her obedient disciple’s little head.

Although she knew this was a great opportunity meant for Feng’er, she couldn’t help but feel a bit worried.

Feng’er had only just stepped into the second rank. Even though no eighth-rank monsters would be inside, there would certainly be quite a few fifth- and sixth-rank cultivators.

“Master, I’ll be fine.”

Chu Feng’s eyes were filled with determination. Secret realms… he had heard about them plenty of times, but this would be his first time entering one himself. More than curiosity, he felt that there was a destined opportunity waiting for him inside the Sky-Mending Secret Realm.

I mean, come on…I’m a proper transmigrator. It’s one thing not to get a beginner’s gift package, but shouldn’t there at least be a main quest reward or something?

Seeing the unwavering determination in her precious disciple’s eyes, Lu Xiyue felt immensely proud. Her Feng’er was finally ready to soar into the sky.

“Feng’er, take this storage pouch. I’ve placed all kinds of protective treasures and pills inside. Remember…avoid getting entangled with sixth-rank cultivators.”

Lu Xiyue personally fastened the storage pouch to Chu Feng’s waist.

The reason she said that was to prevent an encounter with the Saintess of the Yaochi Holy Land.

If she remembered correctly, that was exactly where Feng’er met her. It was in the Sky-Mending Secret Realm.

“Don’t worry, Master. I’ll take good care of myself.”

Chu Feng patted his chest and promised. Even without his master’s reminder, he already planned to avoid any unnecessary entanglements with sixth-rank cultivators.

Getting involved with those powerhouses was definitely not something a mere second-rank cultivator like him should be doing.

Looking at her precious disciple, Lu Xiyue felt reluctant. They had just reunited, and now they were already about to part ways.

She then gently cupped her disciple’s face, her tall figure bending down slightly.

Chu~

A kiss filled with love. Gentle and lingering, it seemed to speak the feelings Lu Xiyue could not put into words.

After a long moment, their lips slowly parted.

At that instant, both Chu Feng and Lu Xiyue’s faces were flushed with red.

“M-Master…”

Chu Feng never expected that his master would kiss him right in front of everyone. And the Empress was even here!

He snuck a glance at the Empress, thinking she would be scowling…but surprisingly, her expression was completely calm.

“All right. As long as you return safely, I’ll be content.”

Lu Xiyue gently pulled her beloved disciple into an embrace and spoke softly.

A moment later, she released him, and Ji Yuhuang stepped forward.

“Greetings, Your Majesty.”

Chu Feng gave a formal bow. The moment the Empress came closer, he felt an overwhelming pressure descend on him.

“Take this storage pouch. Inside are things I prepared… and some from Wan’er as well.”

Ji Yuhuang also took out a storage pouch, though unlike Lu Xiyue, she didn’t personally attach it to Chu Feng.

Chu Feng accepted the pouch from the Empress. Hearing that there were also things from Sister Wan’er inside made him curious, but now wasn’t the time. He’d check it later.

“Thank you, Your Majesty!”

Ji Yuhuang looked at her little husband in front of her. Just moments ago, Lu Xiyue had flaunted her affection right in front of her. Now it was her turn!

She cast a glance at Lu Xiyue and let out a cold snort, then suddenly grabbed Chu Feng by the collar with one hand.

“Your Majesty? What are you—?”

Chu Feng was stunned, completely confused as the Empress seized his collar. He hadn’t done anything to provoke her, had he?

While he was racking his brain, Ji Yuhuang tugged him forward with force, and her red lips pressed against his.

“Mm!”

Chu Feng’s eyes went wide. He was completely stunned. It was one thing for his master to kiss him… but now even the Empress?!

Before he could process what was happening, her lips pried his mouth open. Unlike Lu Xiyue’s soft tenderness, Ji Yuhuang’s kiss was domineering and forceful, wrapping around him completely, leaving no room to retreat.

It wasn’t until Chu Feng’s mind began to blur that Ji Yuhuang finally let him go.

“Hmph! Remember. You are my husband.”

Ji Yuhuang was slightly breathless, her chest rising and falling as she spoke with imposing authority.

And just like that, Chu Feng’s journey into the Sky-Mending Secret Realm began.

The Imperial Capital, at a teleportation array in a certain location.

The two elders of the Heaven’s Pinnacle Sect summoned the disciples who participated in the martial arts competition.

“Everyone, I believe you’ve heard the news that the Sky‑Mending Secret Realm has opened. We have received instructions from the Sect Leader. There is no need to return to the sect first; we will go directly to Xiangshui City in the Northern Region via the teleportation array.”

When the elder finished speaking, the disciples of the Heaven’s Pinnacle Sect broke into cheers.

“The Sky‑Mending Secret Realm opens once every three thousand years; there will definitely be many treasures inside!”

“That’s right! I’ll definitely find a secret treasure this time.”

“Let them taste the might of the Heaven’s Pinnacle Sect!”

In contrast to the students’ excitement, Lin Ruo wore a calm expression.

The things in the Sky‑Mending Secret Realm are all mine!

With Elder Li at hand, if I meet a strong enemy, I’ll be willing to let Elder Li possess me even if my spirit is damaged…. even a sixth‑rank expert can be fought!

Not only the secret treasures, but also Chu Feng!!!

Lin Ruo glanced around and did not spot Chu Feng’s figure, but he believed Chu Feng would certainly go for this great opportunity. Once inside the realm, even if he killed Chu Feng, there would be no one to know.

At the thought of that, killing intent filled Lin Ruo’s eyes.

Yaochi Holy Land.

Although the upper ranks of the Yaochi Holy Land were all women, that didn’t mean there were no men within the sect. However, most of the male disciples resided in the outer sect.

With news of the Sky-Mending Secret Realm’s opening, the disciples selected to participate were brimming with eagerness.

Just then, a loud crane’s cry echoed through the air, and a massive celestial crane appeared in everyone’s view.

Atop the crane stood a woman in white, graceful and poised. Her eyes sparkled like stars, her skin like jade and snow, and her long black hair flowed like ink.

Though she was dressed in a simple white robe, it couldn’t conceal her breathtaking beauty. Her entire being exuded an air of elegance as if she were a heavenly maiden not of this world.

“Who is she?! So stunning…how have we never heard of her?”

“She’s even more beautiful than Senior Sister Sun!”

“That’s the Holy Master’s personal celestial crane! Could it be… she’s the Saintess?!”

The legendary Yaochi Saintess Liu Xueyao who had long been in seclusion, had finally emerged.

One response to “Chapter 74: Departure!”

Ji Yuhuang is incredibly stupid. I truly hope MC figures out that “Ji Waner” doesn’t exist and that whole thing doesn’t get dragged out like an overused condom. It’s stupid.
