In the long corridor, three figures walked slowly.
At the front was Liu Xueyao, leading the way, turning left and right through the passages.
In the middle was Chu Feng, who, due to what had just happened, didn’t even dare to glance at Liu Shijing.
At the rear was Liu Shijing, whose thoughts were clearly elsewhere. That strange feeling she had earlier still lingered in her heart.
Chu Feng, feeling bored, occasionally looked at Little Bai in his hand as he walked. Fortunately, when he was flung in earlier, Little Bai had landed beside him. Otherwise, if he had lost it, how could he explain that to his master?
As for putting Little Bai back into his storage pouch, that was out of the question. Right now, mobilizing even a bit of true qi was difficult for Chu Feng.
Liu Xueyao wasn’t one to talk much to begin with, and both Chu Feng and Liu Shijing were quiet due to what had just happened.
Thus, the three-person group walked in silence.
No one knew what material the corridor was made of. Not a single crack could be seen. It was incredibly smooth, and luminous pearls were embedded in the walls, emitting a faint glow that lit the way.
After who knows how long, Liu Xueyao at the front stopped and said, “We’re here.”
Chu Feng looked ahead and saw a huge stone chamber appear before him. In the center of the chamber, a stone the size of an egg floated in midair.
The stone glowed in five colours, radiating wild energy. As it rotated slowly, thin, spiderweb-like cracks appeared in the surrounding space.
“Could this be… the legendary Five-Colored Stone?”
Liu Shijing, walking behind Chu Feng, boldly voiced the thought in her heart upon seeing the five-colored stone.
If it was real, then this was the greatest treasure in the entire Sky-Mending Secret Realm!
Liu Xueyao gently nodded and said, “Aunt is right.”
“The Five-Colored Stone… could it be the very one used by Nuwa to mend the heavens?!”
Chu Feng exclaimed in shock. Could this cultivation world also have the exact same mythology as his previous life?
“Yes, husband,” Liu Xueyao looked at Chu Feng and continued, “This is your opportunity.”
In the previous life, the Five-Colored Stone had been taken by Lin Ruo. By the time her husband arrived, only a few wisps of residual Chaos Qi remained.
Yet even those traces of Chaos Qi had been enough for her husband to rise swiftly, eventually standing at the peak of the entire cultivation world in a short span of time.
And it was precisely those few wisps of Chaos Qi that led to what happened between her and her husband.
After absorbing the Chaos Qi, he had been unable to suppress the desire surging in his heart.
And just then, she happened to arrive. She absorbed the final wisp of Chaos Qi, and was likewise unable to hold back her impulse and so, the two of them were like dry wood and fire.
But in this life, whether it was the Five-Colored Stone or the Chaos Qi. It all belonged to her husband.
Thanks to the memories from her past life, Liu Xueyao had undoubtedly been the first to arrive.
“My… opportunity…”
Chu Feng’s throat bobbed as he swallowed hard. Could it be… that he was truly about to rise?
Looking at the Five-Colored Stone in front of him, the calling Chu Feng had been feeling grew clearer and stronger.
As he stepped closer to it, the violent energy swirling around the stone suddenly vanished.
Seeing this, Chu Feng reached out his hand. The moment he touched the Five-Colored Stone, a series of images flashed through his mind.
The sky shattering, the remains of immortals, the Great Dao damaged…
Wake up.
By the time Chu Feng came back to his senses, it was because of a loud shout that startled him.
“Chu Feng!!!”
“That…could that be the legendary Five-Colored Stone?!”
The first voice was Lin Ruo’s, shouting his name. The second came from the burly man who had previously knocked Chu Feng flying.
Both of them were clearly agitated. One wanted to kill Chu Feng, and the other wanted to seize the Five-Colored Stone from his hand.
In short, the moment they laid eyes on him, the two rushed at Chu Feng.
But at that moment, two elegant figures stepped in front of Chu Feng. It was Liu Xueyao and Liu Shijing.
Clearly, if anyone wanted to kill Chu Feng or take the Five-Colored Stone from him, they’d have to get through these two first.
The burly man rubbed his shiny bald head and said, “Elder Liu, I’ve got no intention of making enemies with the Yaochi Holy Land. Just turn a blind eye, and I promise you… I’ll share half the fortune from this stone with you.”
Liu Shijing sneered and replied, “If someone else said that, I might believe it. But you, Chen Yuanzi? With your rotten reputation, you still have the nerve to bargain with me?”
This was bad. Now Chu Feng had become a hot commodity, and the pressure on him suddenly skyrocketed.
At that moment, Hu Wan also walked in.
Seeing this, Chu Feng sighed. Great….looks like it’s going to be a brawl of three against three.
With Little Bai gripped tightly in his hand, Chu Feng braced himself fully… this battle was going to be tough, and he had to make sure not to lose the Five-Colored Stone in his grasp.
Just as Chu Feng thought a fierce fight was inevitable, the Five-Colored Stone in his hand suddenly began to tremble.
“Hmm? What’s going on?”
Chu Feng noticed the sudden movement from the stone and looked down. He saw that the Five-Colored Stone had started to emit a faint glow.
Then— hum—
A five-colored radiance burst out from Chu Feng’s body.
What the…?
Chu Feng looked at the light enveloping him. Could it be… was he about to transform into… a giant of light?
Wow… if that really happened, this fantasy story would suddenly turn into a sci-fi one.
Seeing this, Liu Xueyao quickly moved to Chu Feng’s side.
Liu Shijing, noticing her niece’s action, followed suit. Not to protect that brat Chu Feng, of course, but to protect her own Xueyao.
In the next moment, the five-colored light flared brilliantly and once it faded, the three figures of Chu Feng, Liu Xueyao, and Liu Shijing had vanished from the spot.
***
“Ugh… so heavy…”
Chu Feng slowly opened his heavy eyelids, at the same time feeling something soft pressing down on him.
As his vision cleared, he saw a pure, cold, flawless face before him. It was Liu Xueyao.
“You little brat! Get off of Xueyao!”
Not far away, Liu Shijing had just regained consciousness, and the first thing she saw was Chu Feng holding her precious Xueyao in his arms. She was instantly furious.
Hearing the voice, Chu Feng quickly turned his head only to be met with Liu Shijing’s glare, as if she was ready to devour him alive.
He immediately and carefully moved Liu Xueyao off of him and stood up, hurriedly explaining, “Senior, this is just a misunderstanding…you have to believe me!”
Chu Feng was beyond speechless at this point. Ever since he got involved with Yaochi Holy Land, all kinds of fragrant and fiery accidents just kept happening to him.
Just then, Chu Feng glanced around. Everything was blanketed in a white mist. Nothing could be seen.
“Senior, do you know where we are?” he asked. Where had they been sent this time?
“How would I know!” Liu Shijing snapped back impatiently. She was just as confused about where they had ended up.
“Huh? What’s that?”
Suddenly, Chu Feng noticed something not far away. It was a clump of dark yellow substance floating in midair.
He walked over for a closer look. The dark yellow mass appeared to be wrapped in something that looked like a bubble.
Driven by curiosity, Chu Feng reached out and tapped the bubble twice with his finger. Instantly, two wisps of dark yellow gas escaped from the bubble.
Before he even had time to react, one of the wisps shot straight into his body.
In an instant, Chu Feng felt as if his entire body were boiling. An unbearable heat surged through him.
Wh-What… what’s happening!?
He felt like he was about to combust.
“Sen… Senior…”
Chu Feng was on the verge of tears. If he had known this would happen, he never would’ve touched that thing. He turned his head, wanting to ask Liu Shijing what to do.
But to his shock, she was in the exact same state as him. Her normally fair skin was now flushed red, and her beautiful eyes were filled with dazed confusion. Her red lips opened and closed as she gasped for breath.
The moment their eyes met, it was as if a current surged through their bodies…it was electrifying and overwhelming.
