In the void, a mirror rose into view, reflecting the scenes of the students entering the Demon-Suppressing Tower.
Zhang Zhufeng watched the teams file into the Demon-Suppressing Tower one after another, feeling quite pleased. Compared to the first day of the previous tournament, several more students had made it this far this time around.
“Little Cao, it really is a shame about your disciple this time. With his strength, he should’ve made it to the third round at the very least.”
Zhang Zhufeng spoke regretfully. He had seen Luo Mu’s strength and potential for himself. Who could have expected Luo Mu to lose in the very first match?
“He wasn’t as strong as his opponent, so a loss is a loss. Thank you for your concern, Dean Zhang.”
Cao Yu replied. Within the academy, aside from the headmaster, the deans of the other academies were all addressed by their surname followed by “Dean” to distinguish between them.
“Well, that’s true. Still, I never expected that brat specially admitted by the vice headmaster to actually have some skill.”
Zhang Zhufeng exclaimed in amazement. In the past, most of those who entered through such means had been direct descendants of major factions. They looked impressive on the surface and their cultivation levels weren’t bad, but when it came to an actual fight, forget opponents at the same level. They couldn’t even beat someone a level below them.
“Dean Zhang, just who exactly is that boy?”
Cao Yu had never before heard of any family whose disciple could possess such profound sword intent at such a young age.
“That’s something you’re better off not knowing, Little Cao.”
Zhang Zhufeng wasn’t unwilling to tell him. Rather, the vice headmaster had specifically ordered them not to spread the matter around.
Just then, Zhang Zhufeng’s eyes widened as his gaze snapped toward the eighth floor of the Demon-Suppressing Tower.
“Dean Zhang, what is it?”
Seeing Zhang Zhufeng suddenly turn toward the Demon-Suppressing Tower, Cao Yu couldn’t help but ask.
“Someone wandered into that snake demon’s territory. Looks like they might not be coming back out.”
Cao Yu had also heard of the snake demon Zhang Zhufeng was referring to.
“You mean that sixth-rank snake demon?”
“That’s right, that’s the one. She might not be particularly skilled in combat, but her charm techniques are among the very best. Anyone below the seventh rank would be hard-pressed to escape her clutches. Get ready. We’ll wait for the right moment before stepping in. We can’t let that unlucky little fellow get completely drained dry by the snake demon.”

Chu Feng could feel the snake tail around his waist binding him tightly. No matter how hard he struggled, he couldn’t break free.
So tight!
Seeing Chu Feng struggle, the snake demon giggled. “Young Master, there’s no point in struggling. This little woman is a sixth-rank cultivator, after all. With your measly third-rank cultivation, even if you used every last ounce of strength you had, it still wouldn’t do you any good.”
The snake demon simply refused to believe that her charm technique could possibly be useless against a little brat at the third rank!
Light surged within her eyes, several strands of pink radiance spilling from her pupils as she said softly, “Be a good boy and surrender~ Big Sister will treat you very gently~”
“Um, Sister Snake Demon, I’m still young, so I’m afraid there’s not enough of me to satisfy your appetite. How about you wait until I grow up? I promise I’ll make sure you’re satisfied then.”.
Cold sweat poured down Chu Feng’s forehead.
Ah! Judging by the way this snake demon was acting, she was probably going to suck him completely dry!
The snake demon didn’t answer. Her luscious red lips drew closer and closer to Chu Feng, the pink mist spilling from them enveloping his body. She intended to use her kiss as a medium to unleash her strongest charm technique. She refused to believe this human brat wouldn’t fall under her spell!
Her snake tail tightened, firmly constricting Chu Feng’s body.
Clatter!
The Human Emperor Sword slipped from his hand. Chu Feng gritted his teeth and fought against the snake demon, but as the pink mist grew denser, strength gradually drained from his body, and the circulation of his true qi became obstructed.
“Young Master, just be good and get ready. Once this little woman has drunk her fill, I’ll naturally let you go.”
The snake demon parted her lips and leaned toward Chu Feng. Just as they were about to touch, her entire body suddenly stiffened.
Immediately afterward, a bone-chilling cold shot from her tail all the way to the top of her head. The snake demon sensed the aura of death!
In an instant, she released Chu Feng.
“Who!? Who is it!?”
The snake demon cried out in terror.
“Cough, cough!”
Chu Feng clutched his throat and coughed several times. To avoid inhaling any more of the pink mist earlier, he had chosen to hold his breath outright. Fortunately, when it came to holding his breath, he had undergone some rather special training.
Although he had no idea why the snake demon had suddenly released him, this was an opportunity.
A sixth-rank demon was definitely beyond his ability to fight, but escaping shouldn’t be a problem.
While the snake demon was still rattled, run!
But Chu Feng hadn’t gotten far before the snake demon caught up to him with her sixth-rank cultivation.
“Young Master, why are you running so fast? It’s not as though this little woman is some man-eating monster~”
The snake demon giggled softly.
You might not eat people, but you suck them dry!
How could Chu Feng possibly dare stop? Unfortunately, in the end, he still couldn’t outrun her.
Whoosh!
A sharp sound tore through the air as the snake tail moved so quickly it became a black blur, lashing toward Chu Feng.
Chu Feng didn’t dare let his guard down. Sword qi erupted from him.
Boom!
He staggered several meters backward before finally regaining his footing. Meanwhile, not even a single sword mark had been left on the snake’s tail.
As expected of a demonic beast. Its physical defenses were absurdly tough.
With his third-rank cultivation, there was simply no way he could break through the defenses of a sixth-rank demonic beast.
“Such futile resistance!”
Contempt flashed across the snake demon’s face as countless small snakes materialized around her. With a wave of her hand, the swarm of venomous snakes surged toward Chu Feng.
“I’m going all out!”
Chu Feng opened his mouth and spat out a five-colored sword qi. After being nurtured within his body and strengthened alongside his cultivation, the five-colored sword qi had become even more terrifying than before.
“Hah!”
Chu Feng poured all of his true qi into the five-colored sword qi. In an instant, dazzling sword light erupted, five-colored radiance blazing so brilliantly that even space began to ripple.
Whoosh!
The sword qi shot forth, its dazzling edge seemingly capable of cleaving through everything in existence. In the blink of an eye, the countless venomous snakes were shredded by the five-colored sword qi.
Without losing any momentum, the sword qi hurtled straight toward the snake demon.
The snake demon had never seen sword qi like this in her entire life. Was this brat really only at the third rank?!
Not daring to underestimate it, the snake demon circulated her true qi throughout her entire body, and dense layers of snake scales emerged across her fair skin.
Boom!
Sword qi raged as dust billowed through the air.
Chu Feng had once used this very attack to slay a reserve Holy Son of the Myriad Saints Palace.
Unfortunately, the difference between each rank was enormous, and the higher one climbed, the greater that gap became.
Even the five-colored sword qi that fifth-rank cultivators would avoid at all costs was powerless against someone at the sixth rank.
As the dust cleared, the snake demon looked somewhat disheveled, her beautiful hair slightly tousled, but overall, she hadn’t suffered any serious injuries.
However, Chu Feng’s sword had left a wound across her face.
The snake demon trembled as she touched the cut on her face. The face she had so meticulously cared for had actually been wounded by a mere third-rank human brat!
She instantly flew into a rage. Just as she was about to tear the human brat to pieces, a voice suddenly rang through the air, echoing between heaven and earth.
“Demon, cease your murderous rampage!”
An immensely terrifying sword qi came hurtling over, dozens of times more powerful than Chu Feng’s own.
The moment the snake demon saw the sword qi, she immediately dodged.
“Zhang Zhufeng!”
The snake demon recognized the owner of the sword qi at a glance. She knew she was no match for Zhang Zhufeng, so she gritted her teeth and left in fury.
A wise snake knew better than to fight when the odds were against her.
By the time Zhang Zhufeng arrived, he immediately breathed a sigh of relief. Fortunately, he had acted in time.
“Who on earth was it? They actually angered that snake demon enough to make her want to kill them.”
Zhang Zhufeng was puzzled. After all, that snake demon possessed sixth-rank cultivation.
He turned his head, intending to see who it was, only to find no one there.

Somewhere else, a seductive beauty held a young man in her arms.
However, the young man didn’t look well. His face was flushed crimson, his breathing ragged, and his restless little hands wandered all over the place.
Chu Feng felt as though the meridians throughout his body were on fire. His blood and qi surged wildly, leaving his entire body weak.
“Sister Tiantian, I… I feel awful…”
“Little rascal, don’t be afraid. This Empress is right here~”
Inside Chu Feng’s body, the demon core began releasing clouds of pink mist.
The corners of Su Tiantian’s lips curled upward. She tightened her arms slightly, burying his little head within the pale, deep valley of her bosom.
Burning all over, Chu Feng hazily felt something cool and soft. Like someone on the verge of dying from thirst, he greedily sought relief from it.
“Haa—”
Feeling the young man’s movements, Su Tiantian remained silent. She merely brought her red lips close to his ear and gently blew, her warm breath brushing against him.
After an unknown amount of time, the young man in her arms suddenly went rigid, clutching tightly at the curved neckline of the beauty’s clothes.
Then, the young man slowly let out a breath.
