Time passed like a fleeting white steed; in the blink of an eye, a month quietly slipped by.
Today was the grandest day for the demon race. The Demon Clan Grand Ceremony.
Held once every hundred years, this grand ceremony was a major event attended by all Demon Kings within the clan. As for why it was held, opinions varied.
Some said it was a rule set by the first Demon Ancestor, meant to unite the demon race.
Others claimed it was to celebrate the birth of the demon race. Rumor had it that demons were created by sacred beasts, just as human legends say humanity was created by Nuwa.
These two views were the most widely accepted.
Each time the ceremony was held, it was presided over by the Demon Empress, and all Demon Kings were required to attend and pay their respects. If you didn’t show up, well….who came might not be obvious, but who didn’t would be crystal clear, and what awaited them was the Demon Empress’s punishment.
Gradually, this ceremony became an important means for the Demon Empress to assert control over the demon race.
Taking advantage of this event, Su Tiantian planned to eliminate all the Demon Kings who had rebelled in her previous life. At the gathering she had hosted earlier for the little rascal, those same Demon Kings hadn’t shown up.
During the assault on the Devouring Heaven Sect, their tribes had suffered heavy losses and would struggle to recover in the short term. Strike while they’re weak and finish them off!

“Sister Tiantian, it’s too tight… I can barely breathe,” Chu Feng said painfully.
Su Tiantian was helping him get dressed, but whether it was because the outfit was too tight or she was pulling too hard, he felt like he was being squeezed to death.
“Su Tiantian, are you trying to strangle my junior brother to death?”
Bai Yuyan quickly snatched the sash from Su Tiantian’s hands and loosened it, and only then did Chu Feng feel a bit better.
Now Su Tiantian awkwardly averted her gaze. It couldn’t be helped. Ever since she became the Demon Empress thousands of years ago, she either had little demons dress her or relied on her cultivation to put on clothes in one smooth motion.
Dressing herself or dressing someone else…this was her first time. As a result, she couldn’t control her strength precisely and ended up tightening it too much on the little rascal.
“Senior Sister Yuyan, I’m fine.”
Chu Feng coughed lightly. He also knew that with Sister Tiantian’s cultivation, a slight exertion of her fingers could probably crush him to dust. If anyone was to blame, it was his own weak cultivation.
Haah, whether it was Sister Tiantian, his master, or the other senior sisters, all of them were far stronger than him. When would he finally turn things around?
Every time with his master and Sister Wan’er and even that time with the senior, most of the time he was passive. Though it didn’t feel bad, once their strength waned, it would become his turn to take the lead.
But having less initiative always made it feel like something was missing.
That’s right. The dignity of being the head of the household! How infuriating and frustrating!
“And you say you’re fine? It’s already left red marks.”
Bai Yuyan untied Chu Feng’s clothes. Seeing the red marks on her junior brother’s body, she took out a bottle of ointment, dabbed some with her finger, and gently applied it to his skin, saying with concern.
Chu Feng bared his teeth. The burning pain was intense, but the effect was astonishing. Just after applying it, in mere seconds, the red marks disappeared.
Today was the once-in-a-century grand ceremony of the demon race. For such a formal occasion, Su Tiantian had specially ordered the demon clan to make a set of clothes for Chu Feng.
“Mm, once you’re dressed, have Little Bai lead you—”
Su Tiantian said calmly, then walked out of the bedchamber.
After leaving, she secretly felt a wave of regret. Honestly, her first time dressing the little rascal had ended in a complete mess.
Outside the bedchamber, Xiao Qing who had been waiting for a long time stepped forward when she saw Su Tiantian and whispered, “Your Majesty, they’ve all arrived. Everything is prepared. We can wipe them out in one fell swoop at any time.”
“Don’t rush. Even a cornered rabbit will bite. Stabilize them for now. Once the ceremony begins, you’ll handle the demon kings. The Ninth-Rank Great Demon King will be dealt with by me,” Su Tiantian instructed.
Hearing her Empress’s words, the rabbit-eared girl’s ears twitched slightly. What did she mean, a cornered rabbit bites?
She felt that Her Majesty had a misunderstanding about rabbits. When she got anxious, she only bit carrots, alright? Even when taking care of her own needs, she used carrots. Carrots were what the rabbit clan was devoted to. Humans were absolutely not something they would bite.

After getting dressed, Chu Feng followed the rabbit-eared girl to the site of today’s demon race grand ceremony.
A vast plaza stretched out before them, the view incredibly open. Many members of the demon race had gathered; the lowest cultivation among them was Sixth Rank. Demon kings who were rarely seen in ordinary times were everywhere here.
At the center of the plaza, a mass of flames burned fiercely, with ritual items placed beside it.
As the Demon Empress, Su Tiantian naturally took the highest seat. She wore an exceptionally luxurious purple-gold robe and her exquisite, stunning face was glowing.
Reclining slightly, her posture accentuated her ample full chest, rounded hips and long legs. Although she appeared somewhat languid, the terrifying pressure of the Demon Empress was unmistakable.
Looking at Sister Tiantian dressed in purple, Chu Feng sighed inwardly: purple really had a unique charm.
Behind Su Tiantian sat Chu Feng and Bai Yuyan, while Xiao Qing and Protector Hu stood on either side.
In truth, these were all personnel arranged by Su Tiantian to protect Chu Feng. Though Bai Yuyan was only at the Sixth Rank, with her divine soul and experience from a previous life, she was comparable to a Seventh-Rank powerhouse.
Seventh-Rank Demon Kings were nothing to worry about. More than half of the Eighth-Rank Demon Kings were already dead or injured. The only variable was the Ninth-Rank Great Demon King….even in her previous life, Su Tiantian had needed considerable effort to deal with him.
On the surface, the wolf clan had submitted to her, but in reality, they longed for the glory of the previous Demon Emperor’s rule and wanted to continue dominating the demon race.
If Su Tiantian hadn’t appeared out of nowhere, in this lifetime the position of Demon Emperor would still have belonged to the wolf clan.
Chu Feng sat behind Su Tiantian, with a small table beside him holding tea and snacks. He picked up a piece of pastry and ate it, his eyes curiously roaming about.
He was filled with curiosity about this demon race grand ceremony. If he missed it, he’d have to wait another hundred years.
Bai Yuyan, on the other hand, had little interest in the ceremony and picked up the teapot to pour tea for her junior brother.
After swallowing the food in his mouth, Chu Feng took a sip of tea and asked, “Senior Sister Yuyan, does the demon race really have this many experts?!”
After all, every Demon King was a Seventh-Rank powerhouse. From a quick glance, there were at least several thousand of them.
As she peeled some nuts, Bai Yuyan said, “Actually, it’s not that different from the human race. Because the human race has many factions, the experts are spread out, making each group seem to have fewer. If all the human factions gathered together, it would look about the same as this.”
After speaking, she brought the peeled nuts to Chu Feng’s lips.
Chu Feng didn’t hesitate in the slightest and ate them in one bite.
Logically speaking, for such a dangerous plan, a novice like Chu Feng should have been kept safely in the rear. But the commotion from Ninth-Rank experts fighting would be far too great. Rather than staying behind, it was safer here. As the saying goes, the most dangerous place is often the safest.
Chu Feng sat properly in his seat, watching the demon race carry out the ceremony step by step, his eyes filled with curiosity.
Just as the ceremony had concluded—
Crash!
The sound of porcelain shattering.
In the midst of the solemn atmosphere, it drew the gaze of all the demons toward the same direction.
The officiating priest’s mouth twitched. Someone actually dared to cause trouble during the grand ceremony!
Spilled tea and shattered fragments stood out starkly on the ground.
Some of the demons who had been whispering among themselves quickly fell silent, and the plaza became deathly quiet.
A burly middle-aged man, his face covered in long hair, stood up and spoke in a rough voice,
“Some time ago, my wolf clan carried out Your Majesty’s orders to wipe out the Devouring Heaven Sect. We suffered heavy casualties. Yet when Your Majesty arrived, you destroyed the sect with ease. I ask you, Your Majesty, since you could have eliminated them with a mere gesture, why did you make my wolf clan charge forward at all costs? This battle has greatly damaged our vitality. As the king of the wolf clan, I demand an explanation on behalf of my people!”
