Chapter 89: Official Bulletin Board Part 7

Released:

(TN: Made a mistake about a player’s name; if you remember that woman who has a horse as her husband and she plays mounted combat. Her name is Hanna, not Kanna. I will use this name from now on and correct past mistakes.)

79. Anonymous Priest

It seems like the second batch of priests is mostly made up of apprentice priests from the Earle and Grenelle temples.

80. Anonymous Priest

>>79 As it stands now, there are significant advantages to choosing Earle, huh…

If you aim to become a priest-warrior, Grenelle is your only choice.

81. Anonymous Priest

>>79 Well, you can always convert later, so it’s not a big deal, right?

82. Anonymous Priest

>>81 If the NPC priests of the temple hear about that, they might faint! Lol.

83. Anonymous Priest

When they become apprentices only the Earle Temple and the Twelve Great Temples will bless them. However, the majority of the residents are Earle devotees…

84. Anonymous Priest

[Breaking News] Someone has appeared in the Twelve Great Temples of Firth, and he changed his job to become a priest of the “Goddess of Death and Chaos”!

85. Anonymous Priest

>>84 LOL!

86. Anonymous Priest

>>84 Seriously?

87. Anonymous Priest

>>84 Huh? I’m from the second batch, but is that such a big deal?

88. Anonymous Priest

>>84 Maybe a follower of Yifa or a volunteer?

89. Anonymous Priest

>>87 It might be clear from the name “Goddess of Death and Chaos”, but from the perspective of followers of the “Goddess of Light and Order”, they consider her somewhat like a half-evil deity.

Followers of the Twelve Great Temples believe in all goddesses equally, so it’s not a problem, but in towns like Firth that are leaning toward Earle, her followers might be seen as dangerous individuals.

90. Anonymous Priest

>>87 They are often regarded with the same suspicion as cult members…

91. Anonymous Priest

Yikes…

92. Anonymous Priest

[Follow-up] It seems like this priest of Yifa is setting out on a journey with a variety of items.

93. Anonymous Priest

>>92 A journey?!

94. Anonymous Priest

>>92 A journey… a wandering priest… that sounds kinda cool…

95. Anonymous Priest

>>92 Going on a journey alone? That takes some courage.

96. Anonymous Priest

>>92 Are you stalking them?

97. Anonymous Priest

>>96 LOL.

[City Hall] World Map Creation Thread 3 [◎]

1. Anonymous Surveyor

This is the World Map Creation Thread.

Let’s work together to complete a world map that covers every corner of the globe!

Please follow basic etiquette. Posts violating the rules will be deleted by the moderators.

Previous thread: http://****************

>>980 Please create the next thread.

617. Anonymous Surveyor

Thanks to Hanna-san, we’ve gathered a lot of information about the continents.

(TN: Hanna is the woman who does mounted combat and is venturing with her husband, a horse, to travel and explore.)

618. Anonymous Surveyor

From Firth City, the north and west are uncharted territories untouched by human hands. To the east lies a temperate plain and grassland area, while the south gradually turns into a desert.

Although there’s information in books in the library and from residents, there isn’t an accurate map, so we can’t thank that adventurous person enough for boldly venturing forth.

They also provide a lot of screenshots; they’re just too kind!

619. Anonymous Surveyor

In the end, it’s safe to assume that most cities are located in grassland areas, right?

620. Anonymous Surveyor

>>619 You’re absolutely right.

There might also be some in the wilderness or oases within the desert.

621. Anonymous Surveyor

It looks like Hanna-san has been relentlessly heading east without venturing into the wilderness. I’d like to explore that area in detail.

622. Hanna

Report in. I’ve finally reached the easternmost edge of the continent!

623. Anonymous Surveyor

>>622 What?

624. Anonymous Surveyor

 >>622 Seriously!?

625. Anonymous Surveyor

 >>622 Tell us, what’s the city there like!?

626. Anonymous Surveyor

>>622 The mobility of that horse is incredible…

627. Hanna

The name of the town is Twentino; it’s a port city!

[Image] [Image] [Images]

628. Anonymous Surveyor

Incredible! It’s the sea! A port!

629. Hanna

I’ve decided to use the money I earned from selling most of the items I acquired along the way to board a ship heading to another continent.
My destination is the Aquaria Islands.

630. Anonymous Surveyor

>>629 Have you found any traces of that mysterious player who discovered the new continent?

631. Hanna

>>630 No, we were told that we are the first wanderers here in Twentino… meaning the only players that have been here are us.

By the way, it looks like Twentino is the only port city on the Luxresia continent. There’s no other place that can accommodate large ships for docking.

632. Anonymous Surveyor

>>631 So, does that mean the one who unlocked the map function, or others for that matter, haven’t gone to the other continent by sea?

The mystery deepens, doesn’t it?

633. Hanna

For now, I’m going to visit the other continent.

634. Anonymous Surveyor

>>633 Have a safe journey!

635. Anonymous Surveyor

I’m sure other threads are buzzing with excitement. Hanna seems like the type to share information, after all.

636. Anonymous Surveyor

But didn’t Hanna-san just plow through the journey, ignoring the bosses along the way?

If that’s the case, I wonder when other players will be able to arrive in Twentino…

637. Anonymous Surveyor

>>636 At the very least, it’s pretty much confirmed that we’ll be later than the strategy group (sad).

Exclusive Monster Thread 1

1. Management

This thread is exclusively for players who play as monsters. Feel free to engage in discussion here.

>>980 Please create the next thread.

170. Seth

So, can we consider everything up to post 158 as the behind-the-scenes of the infamous “Nightmare of the Northern Mountains” incident among the first batch of players?

171. Wu Lang

>>170 Probably, yeah. There were rumors that some players were involved in the “Nightmare in the Northern Mountains,” but who would’ve thought that the “Silver Mask” was a player too?

172. Markel

>>171 Right? Judging from the context, “Silver Mask” ﹦Isam, and he seems like a monster player. But if that’s the case, this Isam guy had the skill to half destroy the strategy group at the time…

173. Gordon

>>172 That’s not all. The mystery also surrounds how he had obtained his signature “Silver Mask” and that lavish staff.

174. Hen-of-the-woods

So, he was pretending to be an NPC to deceive everyone? What a sneaky guy.

175. Gordon

Regardless of whether he was sneaky or not, I think we can all agree that he had top-tier skills at that time, which is pretty impressive.

Considering how poorly monsters were treated in the early stages.

176. Wu Lang

>>175 It seems so. In less than a month since the service started, the number of non-humans, especially monsters, had dropped to single digits, right?

177. K2

Isn’t it even more alarming that some of the top-tier experts and top players, who had been massacring monsters left and right, are now teaming up with these monsters?

178. Pop-eyed silverfish

>>177 Uh…

179. Markel

>>177 Now that you mention it…

180. Seth

Could this be… the birth of the Demon King?

181. Seth

>>180 The king of monster players, you mean?

182. Gordon

>>180 Then I better volunteer for the Demon King’s army ASAP (sense of duty).

183. Hen-of-the-woods

>>182 Looks like you’re all gung-ho about getting on that guy’s good side, lol.

184. Age

Sorry for interrupting the excitement, but is there anyone here aiming to become an Orc?

185. Wu Lang

>>184 Maybe it’s me?

186. Seth

>>185 Are you a pervert, perhaps?

187. Gordon

>>184 What’s with the sudden topic change?

188. Age

Apparently, there’s a country of orcs in the southern wilderness. My source is the chieftain of the goblin tribe at my respawn point.

189. Wu Lang

>>188 Seriously? Ugh, I started in the Northern Mountains, so that’s pretty far!

190. Hen-of-the-woods

>>188 Wait, orcs are building countries? They’re intelligent beings?

191. Age

So, I’m off to check it out. I’ll report back when I feel like it.

192. Markel

>>191 Hold on a sec, lololol.

193. K2

>>191 You too, huh? lol

(TN: If you’re wondering how these guys knew about Isam, it’s because Isam talked in this monsters’ exclusive thread with Iris, and that’s how he rescued both Iris and Jigoro, who was known as the nightmare of the northern mountains.)

[Monster Players] Chat Thread 76! [are on the Rise!]

1. Anonymous Human

Welcome to the chat thread.

Let’s have some relaxed chat here.

Please follow basic etiquette. Posts violating the rules will be deleted by the moderators.

Previous thread: http://****************

>>980 Please create the next thread.

559. Anonymous Human

>>555 Exactly. I have my real-life friends, and we’re meeting up and forming parties.

I took [linguistics] as per monster big bro’s advice, so I should be able to raise my level and have normal conversations in the future.

560. Anonymous Human

It seems that here and there, parties between humans and monsters are starting to happen. It’s all thanks to Monster Big Bro, isn’t it?

561. Anonymous Elf

Speaking of monster big bro brings back memories, but what happened to that priest who was making a fuss about finding that flying hero? Does anyone know?

562. Anonymous Human

>>561 Oh, you mean that guy who was causing a commotion in Firth?

563. Anonymous Dwarf

>>561 I didn’t know about such a person. I am one of the second batch players, so I’m not up to date.

By the way, what’s this flying hero all about, anyway?”

564. Anonymous Beastman

>>561 Come to think of it, I haven’t seen him around lately. Did he change his base?

565. Anonymous Human

>>563 Apparently, when he was attacked by PK (player killer), he was saved by some mysterious magic attack that was used by a mysterious flying figure. He wanted to express his gratitude to that person, so he had been conducting inquiries in the threads until recently.

566. Anonymous Dwarf

>>565 Nothing but mysteries. There’s no way they’ll find anything about that.

567. Anonymous Human

>>566 That’s right. In fact, it seems like no one had any substantial information.

568. Anonymous Elf

He had this intense vibe when he was asking about it, so it was a bit scary…

569. Anonymous Human

>>565 By the way, PK encounters are still happening quite frequently, huh?

570. Anonymous Human

>>569 Are you new here? PK has been around since the early days.

It’s well-known that PK (Player Killer) and PKK (Player Killer Killer) guilds were established simultaneously with the implementation of guild functions.

And our monster big bro even openly admitted to PKing for gear. I wouldn’t be surprised if other monster players engaged in PKing as well. Though it seems like nobody does it in the city with those super-strong security golems around.

571. Anonymous Beastman

>>570 Have those security golems ever moved? I’m a newcomer, so I’m not familiar with that.

572. Anonymous Elf

>>571 Yeah, they do move. Apparently, some low-quality pickup artists were persistently bothering female players, and that’s when they showed up.

When the panicked guys drew their weapons, it was seen as hostile action, and they were taken down in an instant. I witnessed it at the scene.

573. Anonymous Human

>>571 By the way, those golems were created by the goddess and are located in the Twelve Great Temples. Since there’s a Twelve Great Temple in every city, it seems they are deployed in practically all cities.

The activation conditions are when a serious crime is committed or when harassment by players is detected.

That’s why NPCs generally don’t engage in assassination, even if they do some mischief in the city. So, PK incidents are basically non-existent within the city. There are rumors about ways to bypass them, and some fools are determined to defeat the security golems, but it’s just talk.

574. Anonymous Dwarf

>>571 Just to add, when the security golem defeats a PK, it awards the victim the items they lost and the aggressor’s dropped items.

However, it doesn’t get involved in cases outside the city. It doesn’t prevent someone who PKed outside the city from entering. Well, it’s not a big deal since the marker changes color and the guards stop them.

575. Anonymous Beastman

>>574 I don’t know now whether they’re competent or incompetent lol

576. Anonymous Human

>>575 The same can be said for this game as a whole.

577. Anonymous Human

>>576 Delete! Delete!

◆◇◆◇◆◇

TN: The priest who is searching for the flying hero is most likely that guy who mc saved from getting PKed. If you remember before mc and gang went to sky continent, they went back to their base to get their stuff.

TN: Since he is also a priest, then he possibly is the one who changed to become a priest of Yifa and you probably know why…

TN: Again, these are just assumptions of mine.

As a reader, these forum chapters are good for exposition and dreams of mmo community. As a gamer, these forums make me question where the hard-core psychopathic players and Moders are… maybe it’s just a culture thing between nations?

The priest is definitely that guy MC saved, hope he can join the guild and group without his journey being too novel worthy or harem filled.
